Anyone having issue with Media Scanning notification?

Mine showing "ABCDEFGHIJKLM......" instead of "Media scanner is scanning"...

Unable to capture screen..as it's fast..

I had that problem on the beta version...
Try wiping cache and dalvik and reflash the ROM.

What do you mean by beta version? Beta version of kernel or ROM?

When I was testing the ROM before release.
The issue was fixed for the release version, at least for me.

i think [EX]=EXTRAS [TM]=THEMED mate...
but better is the question goes to raffa

iv just downloaded and clean install i restored threw my back up pro restarted and i get the same loads numbers at top and saying candidate instead of media scanner it freezes my phone then fine apart from that everything works

I think it doesnt matter however it is better i think to do it from the Performance setting and check the box and also confirm that Extweaks is updated with your setting..

I personally recommend Lulzactive which also has a simple config app on the market to tweak it towards performance, battery or balanced.. Going through the great Droidphile thread which explains in details all Governors logic, i see Lulz almost has all the pros of all Ondemand based Govs like Ondemand, Conservative and Smart Ass V2..

You can use VR or SIO with Lulz as Scheduler..

Can you give ma an example of setting in lulzactive because I always have problems with good performance on this governor. I would like to compare performance on lulzactive with Ondemand setting.

For performance in Lulz set:

inc_cpu_load - 60
pump_up_step - 4
pump_down_step - 1
up_sample_time - 10000
down_sample_time - 70000
screen_off_min_step - 4 (500 MHz)

As for me I tweak lulz towards battery (90-1-2-50000-40000-5) and still get very good performance with FH

Came from a full wipe to V1 and a no wipe to V2 with fine 3G coverage.

Might be worth reflashing your modem and checking then.

Did you do a full wipe or what rom did you come from?

Swiftkey works perfect, just go into system settings, language and input, check swiftkey, then click 'default' and select swiftkey.

Cheers. I'm wiping & reinstalling right now. Samsung ime is stuck on no matter what I do. Hopefully another wipe will fix it. ICS is breaking my heart. I'm very close to going back to GB. Apex & Chrome are the main reasons I'm holding out. The slow wake up time & touch are very different to GB. The touch feeling is more like the iphone 4s now. You can't select something until movement has stopped completely.

Thats a pain

If you do a clean install and do the steps I mentioned for getting back to Swiftkey, it should work for you.

ICS is pretty good once you get used to it.

My normal steps for a rom flash are:

sms backup (use what ever)
Titanium backup of apps
nandroid backup
wipe system/factory reset
wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache

wipe system/factory reset
wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache

so double wiped.

Then I flash the new ROM, restore using Titanium

Hope you get on ok.

v2 is amazing. best ics ROM so far I tried after uninstalling some apps, no issues and exceptionally smooth and fast. Maybe not the best battery life ive had but still very good (12hours and 4h screentime) but then there was 2-3hours of music with screen off and many hours connected to msn, data/wifi with heavy email sync on all the time and when screen on mostly emulator playing and some surfing/youtube so no light usage. This is a long keeper for sure.

Ya I'm back up and running. all is good. I think it may have been because I went straight into titanium backup after set up and started restoring a few things before I remembered to wipe the cache and delvic cache again.
I love ICS but for the two things I mentioned. The wakeup time lag is a pain. I can get over the change in the touch though. Chrome fecken rocks and its only in beta. The way it deals with tabs is cool.
