Hey if any1 have lava iris 405 just check here

Here are the steps:
U Need to have two tools.links r givn below.

1.Mtk droid Root and Tools

2.SP Flash Tool(USE THIS VERSION COMPULSARY,
OTHER VERSIONS WILL SHOW YOU ERRORS)

i am also trying to find way to root iris 405

I think that this phone has not been able to attract attention of developers so there are no cwm recovery etc

if you are talking about bianry4 method or any other script they will not work because of jb

if any one can give me a stock recovery I will be very thankful I ported ported cwm of iris 455 but that's not working.I now don't have stock recovery but I can port twrp to any recovery so plz provide me a recovery of iris405

method for getting recovery image

do you also have root I have also rooted this phone for getting stock image or full ROM just connect phone to mtk droid tools click on root button then it will perform shell root after it backup you phone with tool you will get all contents of ROM including stock recovery etc in that folder

I have successfully rooted iris 405 now.What need help for creating cwm or twrp for this phone.I want stock recovery so plz someone provide me

bro,am getting a problem with sp flash tool, my phone not showing up in sp flash tool after swithed offf.i tried diff combinations with volume+ and volume - but it not showing up. plz help me.

Did u download the version i posted here?

If so then there will be no problem

after switching of your phone remove your battery for 5 seconds and then connect the battery again

also in sp flash tool , after hitting the task say 'read back' or 'download' the tool will search for the phone

u can see that in the bottom of the panel of the sp flash tool

at that time connect the mobile with pc

if the mobile is connected before the task in sp flash tool , then it wont recognise the mobile

and another thing , Have you installed the mtk6577 usb driver?

If not then thats the bigger problem

and guys after rooting i have problems with making my sd card as phone and phone as sd card

the only way i found is modifying this file in system/etc/vold.fstab

But i dont how to modify this file to make my sd card as deault memory

once i have made my sd as default but i cant find my phone memory and the bigger problem is the pc cant recognise the sd or phone memory for file transfer

so i again formatted my rom using sp flash tool

if any one knew how to edit this file please edit the file for me

i have attached the file here

    The swap it didn't work. Said my SD card speed is 3MB/s when minimum MB/s is needed. Any suggestions on how to fix this without increasing my card class ? If that is the only way I'll wait a month and get a Class 10 16GB card. :)

    Any other apps maybe ?

    BRO its because of the compatibility issue created by gameloft games
    when they go first time run to internet they will check ur build.prop file of the phone
    unfortunately lava iris 405 is not in gameloft list
    so the game wont start
    for this we have to edit our build.prop to some other phone model
    i have changed mine to lg optimus 2x by trying this

    after this the gameloft compatibility error wont appear
    chears!!!!

    (do connect to the internet for first play of gameloft games)

    This is because u didnt install vcom drivers for mt6577

    download this vcom driver in 'vcomdriver.txt'


    then use the page in 'installing vcom.txt'


    after installing the driver follow the steps i have posted before (what u have tried , now 'readback' will work)
