If I just want to install the modem or system file... Can I do it like a nexus device and fastboot flash etc... Or how would I go about doing the Samsung equivalent of this?

These items have not been separated to flash by anyone.

I may make it after I get this stupid thing rooted tonight.

A few guys have separated the modem file into a tarball (I end up doing it all the time for the L900, L720, and M919). As long as someone has the MD5 tarball for their device it's easy to make one if they have access to a Linux terminal. Which build modem are you trying to flash in Odin?

By the way, odin is what Samsung devices use to load new firmwares. There's no fast boot commands you can use to flash as I haven't seen any kind of "bootloader" with fast boot command capabilities on any Galaxy devices (or any Samsung devices for that matter minus the Nexus).

Thanks the fastboot was really what I wanted to know about. Now I am going to read the forums on how to make my own flashable modems etc.... This is more for my curiosity on how to start making things on my own uses or filling gaps in the forums.... Like I couldn't find a single n900t flashable modem... Someone might want one... I know in the past I have... So was going to try and figure out how to make these.

Wow. Hopefully someone has the old modem for N900T. KK modem breaks video recording.

I'm just guess when I say this but I can't see or understand how a modem partition would break video recording. I'm on the new t-mobile kk modem and my video recording still works. if you had said the rom or kernel even bootloader I could have seen the possible link for the issue.

I only difference between you and me is that I'm using Theaxman NB7 rom.

I would wipe and start fresh. I see you are still on MI7 running a Kit Kat rom. This pair is going to give you issues. 1 are you on an N9005 or and N900t? 2. Have you completely wiped and ran a kernel/rom combo that is made for your particular handset?

My device is a N900T. I completely wiped my phone and installed Tweaked and Leankernel and video recording still wouldn't work. Restored back to my Xnote to use for today.

I'm on x-note running civ's kernel and my video recording and screen recording works just fine. Would agree with the other poster that the modem is not likely to cause this. Might want to start your own thread though with the logcat and see if anyone can help.

I agree with nunya. Modems don't control anything other than incoming and outgoing data. You might just need to flash the stock firmware again. The problem lies within the ROM you're using or a corrupted firmware file.
