I might give it a try. But I think I'll wait until it becomes more stable

I actually enjoyed webos on my touchpad. I had it dual booted because webos has ZERO applications, however for surfing the web and multitasking it did an outstanding job. Easier to use then iOS and much faster at loading applications than windows 8.

I am still and android man, however I would dual boot webos on my nexus 7 if it became available. I mean why not? Just my opinion... Everyone is entitled to one :D

Hello!
I have not found the build WebOS for Nexus7 and made it according to instructions. Started normally :)
If someone wants to try - download (123mb). And do not forget the starting instructions.
(p.s. sorry for my english :) )

Thank you SO MUCH for this image file!! i was driving nuts to build the image as it was failing in the "make update" stage.. i reinstalled ubuntu 3 times and nothing and i cant find any support with this! i'm no linux expert but the "oebb.sh" script was not running giving me a unexpected error of some sort...!!

Well... thanks a bunch! :)

Can't start WebOS on Nexus7 3g

Hi, guys! I've downloaded official build from build.webos-ports.org/webos-ports/images/grouper/, I've pushed "rootfs.ext2" also (according to official instructions). But after fastbooting zImage-grouper.fastboot my Nexus 7 3g reboots and Android (not WebOs:() starts. Any ideas?

Nexus 7 3g isn't grouper.... Grouper is the WiFi varient. Tilapia is the 3G variant

Do you think it is the main problem (hardware is practically the same or not?). Nevertheless I can't find builds for Tilapia. Is it possible to build it by myself?

If you have some experience with building from source I don't see why not.

I have. But I receive an error when trying compile with option
Code:
MACHINE=tilapia bb webos-dev-image
.
Error:
Code:
ERROR: OE-core's config sanity checker detected a potential misconfiguration.
Either fix the cause of this error or at your own risk disable the checker (see sanity.conf).
Following is the list of potential problems / advisories:

Please set a valid MACHINE in your local.conf or environment

ERROR: Execution of event handler 'check_sanity_eventhandler' failed

Might it be because of webos doesn't support tilapia?

It might not be compatible with tilapia.
Is your environment clean?(no modifications done by you?)
Also if using a guide, it might have some sort of error in it.
