[Q] KF Not Mounting & Stuck in Fastboot?
I hope someone on this forum can help me. I have an unrooted Kindle Fire 1st generation. It is stuck on the Kindle Fire logo. Anytime I plug a USB cable into the device, the logo appears and just stays there. It can be when connecting to the wall charger or to a PC. When I connect the KF to my PC, the PC doesn't recognize it. The ADB console does not recognize the device either. I tried sending a command via ADB as I connected the KF, but that didn't help. I tried the KF utility, but it cannot locate the device (no surprise as this uses ADB too).
I have read through tons of posts and tried everything I can find about fixing this. But no avail, it still is stuck. I even made a Ubuntu USB cable with SoupFix on it and tried from there. ADB in Ubuntu didn't recognize the KF device either. Ubuntu did note that there was a disconnected kindle Fire. So I told Ubuntu to forget the device in hopes that would help my Win 7 machine. Nope.
This is extremely frustrating as yesterday the KF was working and connecting to the PC for file transfer. It was turned off yesterday and upon reboot, nada.
Please help if you can.
