But shnizlon the master is trying to restore it for us me too...and whenever i try to change the notification bar caption, phone reboots...

Ok so i tried dark forest with the same Firmware radio etc and exactly the same problem, occasional lockups and reboots - this shows its not the rom (ordroid or darkforrest) yet on the same firmware hardware roms like insert coin 5.5.0 are rock solid, which points to an incompatibility between sense 4 roms and the radio/firmware etc.
Not sure what to do now unless anyone knows a good combination of sense4 rom, firmware radio etc.
Interestingly testing in a different building where wifi doesn't work so i turned it off on the phone and had the same problems - so I'm not so sure its related to the wifi now - but I'm now doubting lots of things and unsure where I'm going to go next.
Im not blaming anyone or trying to be at all critical so please don't take offence anyone, its life in IT, things don't always behave as you expect and are so complex with so many variables its hard to know where to start. Also it does seem to be a minority of us with this problem, or am i wrong there.
