When this happens you have a few choices.

Clear out the sd card, internal memory or bite the bullet and delete those system apps from the zip. Possibly even preform a full data wipe.

So after extensive testing, I have found that 0.4.9 installs fine, but no matter what I have tried 0.4.91 constantly FC's multiple core system apps even after doing a complete system wipe. I have tried every possible combination and I get the same result from each. I even redownloaded .91 just to make sure that wasn't the cause.

I am running skinnyrev1 unlocked.

I would love to get the blacked out system menus, any help would be welcome.

I believe Ktt16 had the same issue when I blacked out his settings menu. You two are the only ones I have heard this problem from. If you don't mind would you try flashing my simply mopho rom and see if you have the same issue. If so it might give us some more insight.

Yeah i thought that was crazy how it kept forceclosing on me. Thank God for cwm and nandroid back ups. Not sure if the issue is how things are signed? Are they specific to your phone which makes the other app s dependent on it?
I have no clue here...the only way might be to do the theme ing ourselves...

When themeing, i did not do any resigning of apks...just switched out pngs. Also flashed the notification toggles...if anyone is having issues, please let me know...it seems l like Texas rebel is doing okay on blackout v3...

What are you guys doing with your themes? Anything special? When jfdebo took my theme and modified it for the blacked out settings, it kept FCing on me....i think resigning somehow made it specific to his system? It's a noob kinda thing to say, but i Honestly have no idea.

Maybe it's the issue with messing with the Android manifest xml file, then resigning...not sure if that manifest affects all other apks dependent on it.

I've not compiled my theme but I know the Quantum theme was which this came from. Also to get the black I know that jfdebo779 had to compiled it and change some of the xmls. I maybe wrong but I don't think system apks get signed.

I know some people are running the simply mopho theme and have not had this issue. I have used it over skinny 1 and skinny 2 also with no issues. I have also used both ics and blackout themes with no problems.

I can confirm that Simply Mopho flashes and works perfectly. Is there any way someone could take another look at Settings.apk, that's the one that causes the FC's. Our maybe another mirror with a fresh upload...

I am at work right now. I am going to tinker with it when I get home and will send you a couple of links hopefully in the morning. I know that when I decompiled it there were some problems with some .9 pngs. It flashes fine on my phone, but it could be throwing some errors. In the mean time if you want to test something for me. Try flashing the ics theme over mine and see if you get the same issues.

This theme is based on IceCreamSandwich! I should start this off by saying I'm a total noob and backup before you flash this!

This theme may have way too much cream so don't complain to me if your phone starts oozing cream and bricks. Any other problems you encounter are not mine and you should consult google or motorola if you can't get your phone working.

I have this theme running on a bootstrapped Joker skinnyrev1 (Props to Joker!). Also works on Rocko 2.1 and skinnyrev1 locked. OK on to what is and what's going to be!

    What this has:
    • Roboto Fonts
    • Notification Toggles (Icons from CM9)
    • ICS Notication Icons
    • Notification Bar
    • Settings and pop menus inverted thanks to jfdebo779

    What needs to be done:
    • ICS themed dialer
    • ICS animations
    • ICS tabs

Update: I do not believe I am going to find that todo list. These are more then likely the final themes!

Warning: the blacked out menus in 0.5.0b and 0.4.91 seem to be causing problems on some photons so back up before you flash these. 0.5.0 and 0.4.9 do not have these issues so backup before you flash these.

Hint: If you don't see the notification toggles delete the system ui apk odex file and reboot the toggles show up (thanks goes to AJC9000). I have done this on my photon in December and have not had any problems

    Change Log
    0.5.0b
    • Changed Notification toggles to CM9
    • Updates to Notification bar icons (These are finished as far as I'm concerned)
    0.4.91
    • jfdebo779 inverted menu popup
    • jfdebo779 inverted Settings menu
    0.4.9
    • More ICS notification icons
    • Notification bar touch ups

If you have ADW or launcherpro you can get icon themes and what not on the market.

jfdebo779 was awesome enough to do the settings inverse for me!
Based off of motempo's [Any Deodex] Quantum Photon with Notification Toggles v0.11.13.
Got most of the ICS graphics from source but a few I pulled from one of edward.hidalgo's posts.
Galaxy Nexus Bootanimation came from nonione.

If you delete the system ui apk odex file and reboot the toggles show up.
