Without getting unto the religious wars of what constitutes "4G", do you know if Sony firmware uses the "4G" identifier for only LTE? Or does some speed of HSPA (14, 21, 42, etc) also get tagged as "4G"? My impression is that some variants of the .757 firmware differentiated by saying "H+" or "LTE" as the case may be; and some lump them both into a generic "4G" moniker - but it's just an impression, I haven't experimented enough to really know.

From my observations, in this firmware 4G is displayed only for LTE. I am on AT&T in the US and there is no AWS LTE in my area and I have only seen H+. There are spots with both 21 and 42 and I have not seen the 4G symbol in three days of usage so far.
It's strictly for 4G(LTE)!

(PS: I have a UK phone, but use Nordic firmware as it receives the fastest updates -- there is no noticeable difference otherwise)11
Considering the radio standards all across Europe are essentially the same, and it is labelled as having has the "EURO-LTE" SW as essentially any other customization I have seen, I doubt there is any difference. It has all the languages and country options to select from so essentially is global in that respect too. The reason "Nordic" comes out first seems to be for no other reason than because Sony Mobile's software team is based in Sweden.
