[ROM][4.2.2]Captivating(Xperia Themed)[RC2][New Mali]

I have an issue with this ROM where if the phone is off and I plug it in to charge, it bootloops on the charging mode. It reboots less than a second after the battery icon shows up. This is super inconvenient right, as I've actually let the battery die. If I just into Odin, it'll sit there forever, but it doesn't charge. If I try to power on normally, I get a brief pulse of the hard keys.

Is this an Android 4.2 issue or something more specific to this ROM? Anyone have any clever ideas on how to fix this? I don't have a spare battery and am not with anyone who has an i777.

edit: I just got it into a bootloop mode *with the battery removed,* just on USB power - I get a very quick flash of the screen to black (from off) and a quick flash from the hard keys, then the same over again. I didn't do anything traumatic to it lately, it died while I was sleeping. OEM battery, pulled SIM and SD. What the ****...

Have you tried a different battery. I had the same issue, I put in my spare battery, and it works fine now. I just assumed my battery took a dump

No, I don't have one with me. The battery is pretty new (couple weeks), so I don't suspect it. Moreover, I still get bootloop without the battery installed.

Now it's starting to look like a bootloader issue - I just used a One Click Downloader to go back to I777UCKH7 and am still having the same problem.

Thanks, but I already got it sorted out. Did the whole TiBu removal, flash gaaps, then was able to update it. I'm still gonna dl it and save it to my db... I suspect I'll need it again.

Is it a stock battery. I have heard this issue before. Wasn't a official Samsung factory battery.

Having issues getting the new Google Keep app to work.....anybody else?

Installs but force closes. Even after data clear and permissions fix.

It was sold to me as OEM, but it's slightly different from my stock battery. But it's irrelevant, I can produce the problem with the battery installed. I'm at least two weeks away from being able to use my factory battery again.

Restoring the UCKH7 bootloader didn't make a difference, either. I can restore through Odin, then the phone reboots and begins a patching process. Part way through, it shuts off again for no obvious reason. I tried but cannot get it to go into recovery. Anyone know if this ROM is vulnerable to any MMC bugs?

I have the same issue with Google keep. I did the same thing and reinstalled gapps 121212 and 030113

I tried to install Google Keep-- it installed but keep crashing any reason?????

Btw for those trying to update gmail swap apk thats in Rom folder and reinstall it, it works for me flawlessly

Hia guys....sorry if my questions it have been response, but I am in my office a nd have no chance to read all the previous post. I recently install the Rom, but I have the problem that loose my Internal Storage. I reboot severaal time and have no access to my internal one and some applications are not working.

Please let my know anny soluction. I feel it´s a good rom but, if I can solve this issue, will have to change it.

I've had this issue as well. The only way I can quickly resolve it is to either clear cache/dalvik and reflash the rom. Sometimes just reflashing a kernel will resolve it, but recently that was not the case so i had to reflash the rom.

I haven't taken the time to look for a cause and solution as I've been busy. Just wanted to add my name to this short list...although I'm not sure it has to do with this specific rom.

Edit: I'm not sure we share the same issue now that i've had a few to search and think... My issue is the "No external storage available" issue. Upon receiving this message either in the camera or gallery apps, I cannot use either apps or browse my SDcard via Root Explorer. Reboots don't help. I did find this post on another thread that suggests removing the camera/gallery apps from the recent apps list, then going to settings-->storage and clicking on cached data to clear it:

I'll try this if I receive this error again and report back if it's still relevant.

Add me to the list of folks with Google Keep FCs. Is anyone able to make it work? I also had a random thought - could a non-standard DPI setting cause this issue?

Don't think it's dpi related; runs perfect on Slim and that's at 182.

ROM is great. I have never had an issue with internal/external storage on this ROM. Try a full wipe then flash the latest sti kernel.

Flash the latest gapps to fix keep.
An update is coming tomorrow. I suggest you all backup your apps, etc, today.
