problem :(

Hi everyone, I tried to update mi Galaxy Mini GT-5570L from Peru with this file:
GT-S5570L S5570LWMKPJ ## 2.3.4 2011 October S5570LUUBKP8 Panama Download

Using Odin Multi Downloader v4.38 with Ops, but I always get stuck in this part:
<1> big partition size!!
<1> big partition size!!
<1> big partition size!!
<1> big partition size!!
<1> mibib download..

Then I can't do nothing but disconnect the phone and close Odin. Now I can't enter into recovery mode neither, did I brick my phone? :(

dude you didnt brick your phone,change the OPS( try with Beni OPS) file then flash the phone again ;)

Thank you very much for your answers dany547 I'll try tomorrow those things and I'll get back to you. I have one more question: What's the difference between the benni ops and tass ops? When i download them my browser just opens a text file and they're identical, and how can I save them on my PC? Do I need to make a text file, paste the content and save it with .ops extension?

Hey dany547 I managed to flash my phone with 2.3.5 and it's ok now. Thanks again for all your help.
Anyone knows how to set default alarm ringtone? I can do that with zedge but only with downloaded ringtones. I want to set my mp3 as default alarm tone.

Isn't obsolete, the changes are minimum, in the european 2.3.6 had some updated icons and another option in the power off menu (In the Latin american these options aren't there), for all have some changes in the default launcher...

But if you want to try ;) you can go back to 2.3.4 anytime...

I just reverted back to 2.3.4, I'm having issues with advance task killer pro with 2.3.6, gonna try cm7.2 rc4 but im still thinking about it 'coz i often use my camera


EDIT: Installed Andro-id again, gonna wait for the fix of the camera on CM before installing that. Now trying to OC my device.

There's something different, after loaded both files (OPS and firmware.tar) anb connected my phone in downloading mode, odin shows:
Check MD5 FileName...
MD5 File Name : S5570LWMKPO_S5570LCHTKP6_S5570LUJKP2_HOME.tar
Open File Name : S5570LWMKPO_S5570LCHTKP6_S5570LUJKP2_HOME.tar
Check MD5 ...
Tail MD5 : 448066E78533E67A8F95373D1957210D

Check MD5 ... ok

In the guide, the screenshot of odin does not show anything. Well, I tried with both OPS (beni and tass) and none works. :( Is there any other solution?

I thought there was a difference between the 5570 and the 5570L, wich is mine. The files posted are for the 5570 without the L at the end and that's why I don't know where to find the files for mine.

    Hi guys i'd searched this forum but i didnt found a direct link on who to update the Galaxy mini to Android 2.3.6 aka gingerbread.So i did a lil google searching and i have found 2 methods.Correct me if this is already posted here,i'm just trying to help.And sorry for my eng. SAY THANKS IF YOU LIKE MY SUPPORT

    ATTENTION!!! I'M NOT RESPONSABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT YOU MAY CAUSE TO YOUR PHONE,DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISC!!THOSE FIRMWARE ARE FROM THE EUROPEAN OFFICIAL UPDATES,THEY WONT WORK FOR ASIA/AUSTRALIA!(i didnt test it)
    You dont have to root your phone for any of those two methods.
    THE LATEST ROM IS THE ONE FROM THE FIRST METHOD OF FLASHING!

    You will need: -A WINDOWS XP,VISTA,SEVEN machine
    -NET COMPACT FRAMEWORK 2.0
    -USB CABLE AND THE S5570 ,doh!

    First Method(4 files mode) ANDROID 2.3.6 updated 05.05.2012
    1) Download this version of Odin from HERE
    2) Download and install KIES from HERE (if u allready got Kies pass this step),we need KIES for the latest USB drivers
    3) Download the firmware from HERE extract it
    4) Download OPS file from HERE
    5) Make shure that your phone is 70% charged
    6) Turn off your phone
    7) Now enter ODIN,you will something like this

    8) Load the OPS file that you have just downloaded by clicking OPS on Odin and select TASS_v1.0.ops
    9) Now from the firmware that you have extract it(THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART)
    -APBOOT_S5570XWKTN_CL1019135_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5 goes into BOOT
    -MODEM_S5570XWKT6_CL1000416_REV02.tar.md5 goes to PHONE
    -CODE_S5570XWKTN_CL1019135_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5 goes to PDA
    -and GT-S5570-MULTI-CSC-OXXKTB_RST.tar.md5 to CSC
    MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET IT RIGHT!!!

    10) Enter Downloading Mode,press VOLUM DOWN ,OK BUTTON, POWER BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME!

    11) Connect the USB cable,now in Odin at COM PORT MAPPING is should appeare the USB cable as connected(COM1,COM2 etc)

    12) Now make shure the in ODIN the only boxes that are checked are AUTO REBOOT , RESET TIME and PROTECT OPS after you have checked press START,now u have to wait 5-6min.
    13) It must say above the COM connection PASS on a blue backgroud to disconnect the USB cable and u are done.!!EVEN IF THE PHONE BOOTS UP DON'T DISCONNECT THE USB CABLE,WAIT FOR THE PASS SCREEN!!

    METHOD 2(1 file MODE) ANDROID 2.3.6 Updated 09.02.2012
    1) I guess now u got ODIN and KIES(look in the post above),and your phone haves 70% battery
    2) Turn off your phone
    2) Now we gonna download the 2.3.6 firmware from HERE and extract it.
    3) Then we download the OPS from BENI OPS (ATTENTION! IF IS NOT WORKING WITH BENI OPS USE TASS OPS) we gonna load the file and we have to check the option ONE PACKAGE then we click the ONE PACKAGE button below and select the file from the folder that we just downloaded/extracted SS5570XWKTZ_S5570XWKT9_S5570OXFKT5_RST_HOME.tar.md5,the only options that should be checked are ONE PACKAGE,RESET TIME,AUTO REBOOT,PROTECT OPS
    4) DO A FACTORY RESET,DONT FORGET!!! AND REMOVE DE SD CARD (you must do this to avoid errors,but isnt a Must:p )
    5) Enter Downloading mode,explained above is the 1st method,connect the USB cable,and wait for ODIN to connect to your phone COM port(see above),press START button.

    6) Wait 5min..wait for the PASS screen (like above),disconnect the USB and you are all done.

    I have galaxy mini s5570i and it is not starting n it stucks on samsung galxy mini start screen :( n i want to flash stock firmware and i downloaded all the files but mine phone is not recogonized by odin multi downloader :( i.have installed all the drivers n i have installed kies also ...
    I.downloaded odin 3.07 and it recogonized mine phone but odin multi downloader 4.38 does not recogonize mine phone...
    I want to install custom rom so i want to flash stock rom n install custom recovery as i cant get into stock recovery also..
    I am using windows 8 to do all.these steps :)
    Please help me....pleasee

    you should do it as said in the tutorial, i just want to remind you to close/exit KIES before using ODIN. we install KIES only for the driver.
