misunderstanding: It does work only on cm7 NOT on cm9. Unfortunately your advice doens't sovle my problem on cm9...

I also have this problem on Paranoid build 10 (based on CM9).
Although a fix was introduced by tonyp some time ago it did not fix the problem for me.
I am on uk 3 network, so no 2G at all if that matters.

I would appreciate if someone find out what is different between CM7 and CM9 in this situation and fix the issue!

I think it has to do with the ril/baseband. Something was changed by LG when they did the upgrade to Gingerbread. Cm7 ist still based on the old Froyo ril/baseband. It would be interesting what exactly the problem is. Some guy in this thread said the the routing table has some problems. But i dont get how that is correlated to some specific phones (hardware)....

2nd time now that i sent lg (w-support in germany) my o2x in order to fix this. Still it doesn't work

Is there any way to fix this problem? it is very annoying, maybe there is a solution but I can't find it.

The same problem still can be found on stock ICS leaks 28e and 28g.
I really hoped stock ICS will fix it!
