Thanks MD, you're right, ICS is the future and happy to hear the hardware is better managed with this version. Thanks!
I'll try to cover some of your points as best as I can.
1. The advantage of ICS, is using the dual core processor to it's best advantage. I notice this when I play some test videos for example. They seem to run smoother, especially with some of the graphic intensive ones. More apps will be developed to take advantage of this I am sure. In turn, when Acer gets a good release, we should see better battery life. And when the kernel devs get source, we should see some undervolting as well to increase it.
Also, my volume is better than before it seems.
2. Google dropped Facelock. It just didn't work.
3. Acer ring is a cool feature. Keeps the desktop uncluttered. Yes, it's eye candy. But, it's also easy to modify images if you're a photoshop person.
4. Acer Print. The polaris office app included works with acer print. It has the options to print. Also, I hear ther is a new Docs to Go available. Considering I paid for the app at one time, maybe now is a good idea to check it out!
Eventually, everybody will be running ICS. You have a good start, and won;t have to deal with some things in the future. Just be patient. I hope I can get update 501 release in the next week or 2.
MD
I actually was expecting more from ICS, that's all... But maybe too much, hein?
Anyway, will see how my battery reacts, because I'm also testing that between two diapers like you....
Thanks again MD and keep on going!
