Questions about rooting s4 mini LTE

Hello Developers.
I'm new to root's world and i have some questions:

1. If I root my GT-I9195 (s4 mini lte) and samsung release a new firmware, can i upload it?
2. Rooting my device, the data (apps, contacts, sms and settings) will be reset?
3. When I root my device i will lose the warranty?
4. In this post for "SDCard" it means internal or external memory?

1- If you stay stock firmware and dont flash any other roms you COULD but it isnt a wise choice as you would lose root and possibly any chance of ever getting root again. Every update I have ever seen is always leaked and hacked before the official release date so there is no need to ever use the original update feature. plus who wants to be stuck on android 4.3?

2- when going through the root process definitely back up everything.

3- i am not an expert on this part because I dont care about the warranty but as far as ive read your warranty will be tripped by knox.

4- you should use external sd card for anykind of flashing as internal memory gets wiped
