for the beta testers, is anyone testing it under de-sensed 320 dpi?
remember OP saying that he didnt modify/remove the resources from xhdpi resulting in an on going wifi notification in the dropdown

was this done in 1.3.1 beta?

There is no sense5 that's as functional as a stock Rom...joel has done a fantastic job (I've been running his rom with what tweaks we have now for fun) so we d be addressing base rom and tweak bugs...and while I'm enjoying using what we have, it's not up to our standards of something worthy of public release

And lastly, we won't be getting 4.1.2 sense5 but rather 4.2.2 so all the work goes out the door when that comes

Just my reasoning :P
correct me if i'm wrong, or just simply dont understand (because i'm not a dev and i have no idea how hard it is to port these ROMs) but how is this different from porting the JB Sense 4+ to the sensation from the OneS? there was never an official update for that, but we had a venom ROM for that. and that was porting ICS to JB. or are we just waiting for the official OTA because its coming very soon and would make things WAY easier (probably answered my own question)? and i am not trying to argue, im just trying to learn because i would like to start developing myself. thanks for the feedback nitsuj, love your work and other venom devs btw

its a valid question, as our team has used ports as the bases for venom roms before such as

sensation: ics and jb versions
inc2/incS/mt4g/dhd/saga/dz: ics versions
evo3d gsm and cdma: ics versions
amaze 4g: ics

however this was done simply because there were no other options; none of the above devices ever got official sense4 from htc and the respective carriers, and some weren't even officially updated to ics (and sensation not to jellybean)

in the event where we know (or at least have been told by several sources) that we are getting official 4.2.2 sense 5.1 and its been in the testing system for awhile now (and the butterfly clearly is) it makes the most sense to me at least to wait for our official rom to come to out and base off the most stable product possible...rather than start on 4.1.2 and sense5 and either have the work wasted as our ota comes out before we are done or best case have to redo everything over after we do get a rom out

as ive said theoretically we could throw out some half-assed 4.1.2 sense5 viper rom that will have maybe 75% of the 4+ tweaks working and inherent bugs to the base port....but vin and i don't want to be a part of supporting that....ive done some of the viper roms based on ports (the wvga devices) and its just complaint after complaint about not fixing xyz bug thats essential to everyday use and so on

+1

plus, with Sense 5 ..when you adjust the DPI, SenseUI or Prism (whatever the new one is called in Sense 5 now) do not force close... even going down to 320 DPI.

Been Rocking venom on my phone for far too long ...even fired up my old DInc2 and installed ViperINC last night

HTC Droid DNA

Mine has been acting weird too. What kind of problems have you been experiencing? I was thinking of flashing a custom 2.04 kernel to attempt to fix these battery and network issues that could either be 2.04 or venom 1.3

Sorry, my old ass eyes couldn't possibly read 320 dpi.
