Android One is an entirely different project, i.e. a line of inexpensive phones for emerging markets. Think Nexus, but cheaper.

Yeah, you're right!! ☺☺My bad. Got confused.....One is the MediaTek collaboration, and will release in India etc.

If .. well assuming we all have a NOTE PHONE. A Android ONE phone would NOT WORK OUT..
But with all that said. everyone on this planet should have access to all that is out there technology wise. This is a STOP GAP MEASURE.. Someone please TEACH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAT . WELL Sorry wrong forum wrong reality.

Goggle is doing a good thing with this project.
I just wish they would make. all os updates come from google every device. UI Enhancements from carriers brands be OPTIONAL .. Microsoft perfected this...

Microsoft = proprietary. Android = Open Source. Manufacturers will always add their own bloat.

Just a heads up,

Sources is out

I've downloaded them

Downloaded n80xx common tree

Its compiling but there's some errors, will deft look that up!

host C++: aidl <= frameworks/base/tools/aidl/aidl.cpp
system/core/libcutils/str_parms.c: In function ‘str_parms_create_str’:
system/core/libcutils/str_parms.c:158: error: expected expression before ‘void’
make: *** [out/host/darwin-x86/obj32/STATIC_LIBRARIES/libcutils_intermediates/str_parms.o] Error 1
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
system/core/libcutils/str_parms.c: In function 'str_parms_create_str':

seems to be a sherry issue

simple bypassed it with another goto valid_name:

valid_name
continuing C++ code here

bypassed that one :good:

seems like i'm getting close and closer to final build :D

(Output build)

when it's compiled without errors

not sure if it's a compiler issue or code issue atm

nah no one never knows for sure, specially when it's a pre list, i'm actually surprised if note 10.1 (2012) edition gets the update

i agree there are still some note 10.1 2012 versions with no update. i have 8013 us. Some other 8010 countries have no update from what i have seen people post..

I Am running android L on my nexus 7 2012 as of last night. its aosp build and it has issues.. People are saying google has postponed release for a few weeks over it. But who knows . ohh i liked the settings menu from 4.4.4 over android l..
Its too early to give a opinion on the updates. but like all android updates it seems ui improvements in small ways all over and some under the hood stuff. not a total change in any one place.

I have some good news and some bad news

Good news; i'm now running a fully optional workstation (Ubuntu)

bad news: i need to redownload repo (not necessary but for no broken things in my workstation it's best to do so)

also it been a mess to setup a device so i'll help others people (if they wan't to setup their device) they can easily grab a pre-setup repo

etc some files here and there lol
