Hi all one quick question why isn't there a ics version of sensation xl? For xe an sensation simple there is.

Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile networks > Network Mode > Select GSM only (WCDMA is 3G)

That is a leaked version of ICS, could be stable, could be buggy but still just for the XE
all we know for 'sure' is Q1 2012 so anytime from now till March for the ICS SXL release, just keep an ear to the ground for now
In the music app at the top of the screen there is a Volume Button, also the 2 buttons on the side of the phone (Vol + and Vol -) will adjust the volume of music whilst playing
Have you tried the Volume+ app?
There is a link somewhere in XDA, but i can't find it now. A quick search using the box at the top of the page shouldget you to the developers page where you can download the APK directly.
Just be careful not to turn it up too much in case you damage the speaker...

so last question, phone speaker or headphones (in ear or solos)
Phone speaker seems to be a bit low on all Sensations, headphones if used alot could become faulty and will be replaced FOC by HTC (as its bundled with the phone not the store you bought it from)

only thing you can really do is turn off the Beats Software and see if that makes a difference, other then that your stuck
My HTC Sensation XL is no longer connecting to my pc via usb, I have it on Connection Type > Disk Drive but it is only charging the phone when connected to pc, does anyone know how I can fix this?
first things to try:
reboot the phone either by removing battery while turned on
Try another USB port (In PC, not a hub)
Make sure you're using the cable that came with it, not some cheap charging cable that doesn't have the data wires in it.

Since there is no XE category on XDA, can I flash ROMS posted in XL forum?

Look in the normal Sensation category, there you can find Sensation XE.

Is it a Sensation or Sensation XL you have because they are different phones. If its the Sensation you need to be here http://xdaforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1109

hello!
i am a first time android user and after a week of using my XL dialer app suddenly started to open very slowly. when i click phone it takes about 5 seconds to fully open the phone application (1s white screen, 1s black screen and then another 3 seconds to load contacts). if i leave the application open and when i want to use phone again it opens instantly, but i like to keep things closed for saving ram. is this normal and i didn't noticed it untill now or there's something wrong? am i supposed to leave my contacts open?! even on my old touch hd with wm6.5 that worked flawlessly:\

you have to flash the Chinese ROM 1st -> boot it -> wipe -> then flash RCmix3Drooted the phone..
recovery.img flashed..
boot.img flashed..
reboot into recovery..
wipe data/factory reset..
and then flashed RCmix3D v.12
just as requested....
and i got stuck in the first boot page (white HTC page)
wipe data/factory reset again..
fastboot > factory reset..
and im still there
any help?1
I flashed it with right gapps, and still this was happening

Thank you so much for helping. I'd be able to do this but I can't access any of the menus in my phone as I can't press the home button. How would I go about deleting date from contacts storage without having to go to the settings menu?
I'm using clockworkmod if it helps.
Could I delete date from contacts storage by formatting something?
Yea and real sorry i meant to type DATA not date... Can you open setting from status bar?
