The only persistent problem I have with CM9 is the occasional loss of mobile data (i.e., it is active, the status bar icon says there is a connection, but no IP traffic flows).
My primary issue is battery life. I'm getting terrible battery life on CM9 RC2, and I'm reading that most CM10 ROMs are doing much better.

CM9 isn't stellar with battery life, but my CM10 experience has been worse. For example, I usually start the day with an hour of checking e-mail, Facebook, Google+, Google Currents reading list, etc. With CM10, the battery would always be down to around 75% after one hour, give or take a few percentage points. With CM9, it would be done to around 85% (give or take). It was consistently like this over many daily repetitions. Same user apps in both cases, same CPU governor settings, same app sync settings, same Tasker jobs, etc.

Overall, CM10 would barely take me from 8 am to midnight with very light usage apart from the start of the morning. CM9 could go a full 24 hours or more (i.e., if I forget to plug in the Note before going to bed, it would still have 20% or so by the follow morning). The thing is, even with log files from Battery Monitor Widget, screenshots of top battery users, etc. there was no obvious culprit I could point to. The battery simply drained faster.

At my job I have little signal strength so for about 9 hrs I gave mobile data off. Rest of the day I use my phone pretty lightly. Maybe 2 hrs of screen on time with some games and video watching. I'll get about 17 hrs before I go back to bed and I plug it in again. The phone typically has 25-45% battery left however at that point.

assertfailed : getprop ("ro.product.device") == "SGH-I717" || ...

and at the end

Error in /sdcard/cm-10.0.0-quincyatt.zip (status 7)

Status 7 is a recovery update needed.
