Sony Ports for AOSP ROMs!

Here you will find Sony ports for the Sony Xperia Z running AOSP

In the links below there will be multiple Files to download all with different apps and purposes. They will be maintained and kept up to date regularly.

Walkman, Movies & Album

A ZIP Containing Walkman (8.3.A.0.7), Album (6.1.A.0.14) and Movies (6.2.A.0.10). All working perfectly on the xperia z with any KitKat/Jellybean ROM. Realistically these apps should work on any phone running KitKat/Jellybean but I have not tested so feel free to try on any other phone.

Installation instructions

1. Download the Sony_MediaApps.zip
2.Extract the files and install as normal apk

Sony Sound Enhancements

Instructions
1. Flash the Sound Enhancements zip via recovery
2. Install the regular apks if not already installed
3. Set Sound enhancements as default

(ONLY FOR AOSP) PLEASE FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK THIS DOESNT WORK WITH EVERY ROM AND WILL REQUIRE A CLEAN FLASH IF THINGS DONT WORK WELL WITH IT!

known issues: A lot of audio stuttering for now consider it development purposes only!

Will get it on my Vanir ROM! Only thing missing really is the dialler / contacts app port. Ive searched everywhere, let us know if you can / have a chance to port these.

Another port

Just finished porting Hancom office for all devices and it works just as well on our z's so please check it out

For me, on vanir, when i restart my device, album stops working, i re-install it again, and it's all OK.

So if i don't restart my device, album will remain to work OK.

[EDIT]

I actually resolved this by flashing @ashishdubey package from here:

Then installing your album APK over it, now after a restart its OK, i think it may have just needed the required libs, the app may 'look' for them before completely starting, if it doesn't find them, it probably FC's.

Really thats odd on the devices i tested on including my Z (running infecteds cm11) nothing like that happens when i reboot. Maybe its to do with vanir and some incompatibility there. But thanks for pointing out the fix ill add it to OP

Alright i have uploaded a patch just flash it in recovery if you ever encounter the issue again

Oh actually i got the libs and stuff sorted myself from a much older album zip i made for myself just replaced semcAlbum and it worked

I have managed to make a zip with Sony's sound enhancments and clearaudio+ it is the older sound effects from jb on stock Sony but it still works perfectly. Would you like me to upload it?

Please do! Thank you so much for this, i cannot tell you how long ive waited for it. But not to sound ungreatful, any chance we could get the camera ported aswell? Thats the main thing i miss from stock
