Awesome, thanks a alot for bringing CM10 to our phone but does this mean CM9 will be discontinued in favour of CM10?
Simply replacing the kernel won't work, as the rom needs to be built with some special options enabled for it. I'll see about it, maybe I'll release a test rom with it.
Probably, but can't guarantee it. It's probably not needed on JB anyway.
For reference, JB is much more strict about security and file permissions than previous Android versions. For example, editing build.prop won't work, and if you simply edit it on your computer and push it, you need to set its file permissions to 644 after, or else the phone will hang during boot.
Our phone doesn't support automatic brightness, so it can't be selected.
CM9 will not be completely abandoned just yet, so work will be done on both. Naturally, the priority is CM10 though.
I'm not a gamer, so whether it supports games better or worse than CM9 I don't know. The few ones I've tried worked fine though.
does it mean that if the 3.x kernel finished then this rom(with 2.6 kernel as default) will not be enough to support all 3.x kernel capabilities?

What arco mean is for changing kernel to 3.x not as simple as just pasting 3.x kernel, so much regulators and things to be set up again in order to make things work.

Here you can get a working modded kernel (OC, UV, BFS...)
i can confirm sdcard not work because arco change mounting points for both of sdcard. governors/i.o/oc works fine

But when I tried it into my device, suddenly my device stopped working, no bootloops, but the SD Card Reading goes 'endlessly', and when I lock the screen. I can't turn it back on.

- Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
- Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
- Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
- Boot into CWM5 recovery. Make a full backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.
Install
- Use CWM5 or CWM6.
- Warning: Only use this recovery to flash CM10. Otherwise, you risk bricking your phone!
- Wipe data and cache.
- Flash update*.zip.
- Flash gapps*.zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to CM10 since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
- Reboot phone.
- After you setup your Google account, reinstall the three apps from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
- Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
- If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
- It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.
Upgrades from previous versions of CM10 are the same process as install, except you do not need to wipe anything. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to even wipe cache and dalvik-cache when upgrading between CM10 versions. You only need to wipe if you are doing a major upgrade, switching to a different ROM entirely, or attempting to fix bugs caused by bad backups or corrupt app data.
