tun.ko can be copied with a root explorer to the //system/lib/modules folder or can be installed with a CWM update package.
I have attached the update package which can be installed with CWM 3 or higher.
Hey I gave that a shot. Here is what I did to push that file into /system/lib/modules folder:
1. I tired using the CWM to do it and then I found out the CWM is version 2 and you told me I need version 3 or higher.
2. I installed Titanium and removed ROM MANAGER and installed a newer version
3. I renamed that zip file u sent me to update.zip
4. I went into CWM... I Mounted /System
5. then I tried to update from sdcard:update.zip
then suddenly a few lines were written down there and I couldn't read it since it was so fast
then I checked to see if VPN connects... it didn't connect
so I did this
1. I installed SDK and dab tools and everything
2. I deleted old drivers of htc legend and installed new ones
3. I took the phone and set it into recovery mode
4. I changed the folder using the cd command
4. I opened cmd and tried to push the file into /system/lib/modules
5. here is the commands I used: dab push tun.ko /system/lib/modules
(I had the tun.ko copied in the platform-tools folder)
then a line came up on the screen of cmd sassing the size of the file is blabla
so I exited and rebooted the phone... went into /system/lib/modules with ES FILE EXPLORER to see if the file is pushed... NOTHING! I can't see it I tried the options of ES FILE EXPLORER too ... its not there and the VPN doesn't work
what am I doing wrong here?
thanks everyone and sorry for the long a$$ msg . I wanted to clearly explain what I did here. thanks again.
