Cannot mount external SD

Ever since I went from Thrill Seeker 2.0 to 2.1 I've been having problems. The most alarming problem is that I cannot access my external SD card. Neither from the phone or the computer at this point. I've tried reflashing both versions but to no avail.

Is there any way to fix this problem without using the LG flash tool?

I lost everything, but this worked.

With phone turned on, I opened the back, took out the 8 gb card, then reinserted it. After that, the phone said something about it being an unsupported file system and needed to format the card. After doing so, it now at least mounts.

Yeah im having the samw problem... ive tried pulling it and reinserting and my phone doesnt seem to recognize it and its now getting kinda irritating cause im running out of space on my internal sd and ive got 8GB that i cant use on external
