[Q] gapps - minimal GCM package

Hello all,

in the past i never used gapps. But now i have a Problem. I have installed Threema. And Threema use GCM (Google Cloud Messaging). It looks like that i must flash gapps to get push messsages.

I will not use the polling funktion of Threema (every 15mins).

What is needed for GCM in gapps? I will remove everything from the gapps.zip thats not required for GCM.

Threema and GCM

Hi all,

I'm using CM12 on a MotoG(1st Gen.)
I had the same issue with Threema. I didn't install die GApps and used the polling function. This is not the perfect workaround, so i installed GApps via Recouvery and uninstalled with the "System Apps Remover" all unwanted Apps. I had to reinstall Threema (don't forget to make a backup!) bevore GCM worked.

At the moment I only have the following Apps left (I think there are less needed):
- Google Account Manager
- Google Play Services
- Google Service Framework
- Setup Assistent
- Config Updater

Perhapes anybody knows if the Account Manager, Setup Assistant and Config Updater could be removed as well?
