Yes they did. And I am sure that between Sahibunlimited (The New Doom?) and Championswimmer (The New Wolf?) they can accomplish soft buttons on CM7. Maybe start with stock gingerbread launcher or the included in CM7 ADW launcher or maybe ICS launcher free(hint, hint.) As can be seen in the screenshot using older version of ICS launcher, soft buttons are possible on CM7, just build into launcher and keep buttons always visible. :)

Unless you guys don't think you can do it...:p

And how about a real overclocked FXP kernel?

tal333

i and sahib are 17 yr olds with him in 11th grade and myself in 12th grade.... so just hold on the comparisons guys. lol.

and well i have a very very patchy idea about java and c and compilation.... and its not even 1yr for me with my x10, and sahib has already moved on to gs2. lol.

Just out of interest, since the new miui beta2 is based on cm9, is there any reason why this mod shouldn't work?

hey sahib
I made a mod for fxp117 cm9 but I get some problems wich the statusbar, the lockscreen and the settings which you can see at the attached screenshots.
Kind of funny that I now have the settings view of tablets ;)
Do you know any solution for my problem?
I also attached my modded framework-res.apk

Hey some quasi good news on this topic guys. Its def what I've been waiting/hoping for. Apex launcher now has capability to create desktop shortcuts to all this except for the back button. Super cool since I wanted this but didn't want to sacrifice precious screen space on our already gasping X10. As a launcher function they come & go w the launcher and u can place anywhere u want.
Actually although my mod is not quite finished I'll go ahead and post what I have so far here. Just be sure to update it when its official. This way u can see for yourself.
Uploading now, stand by for link. eb

Here ya go. If after installing you restore my settings & desktop (files included) I've instantiated the home & recent apps buttons on each side of the all apps button then camouflaged them w transparency. Also more launcher settings buttons one on each side of them.
Just be sure to copy the two backup files to sdcard/Android/data/apexlauncher before restore. eb
