Any special instruction to installing this, I'm coming from Mahdi and TWRP v2.7.1.0?

Thx, d.

Yeah, you'll need to read the op about flashing os2sd ROMs. There's a bit required. Also you'll need to update TWRP to cars latest os2sd recovery.

I'm flashing gapps but they aren't appearing. What am I doing wrong?

What package are you using?

The latest, gapps-5.1-arm-2015-07-17-13-29.zip

I tried flashing older ones and nothing happened, I tried flashing open gapps nano but it said "no build.prop or default.prop!"

OK, I'll need a bit of info in order to assist you. Which ROM are you flashing? What recovery are you using? If you're flashing an os2sd build you'll need to be on os2sd recovery (I recommend TWRP over CWM) however, either will do. You'll also have to format your partitions as per the OP instructions for os2sd builds. I'm not saying you have or haven't done anything right or wrong, I just don't know your situation or what you're working with ?

from CWM OS2SD to Peach Sunrise 3.01?

Help! Hi, I was trying to go from the latest 4.4.4 CWM OS2SD to Peach Sunrise but I couldn't figure out how to do so? Are there instructions somewhere?

I tried the Flash to stock via ClockworkMod method shown here,
http://xdaforums.com/wiki/index.php?title=Samsung_Galaxy_Exhibit_4G&ajax=0#Flash_Back_to_Stock

but it didn't work. The phone seemed like it was installing the old OS, but it just seemed to hang after a bit. I don't know how to use that Odin thing, so I haven't tried that method yet. Thanks, RSVP.

Sorry for the late comment but if you still havnt figured it out or anyone trying to do similar what you want to do is do a factory reset/wipe all then flash a non-os2sd recovery(can be done from a os2sd recovery) then follow those instructions like normal or flash any other non-os2sd rom. Also you should wipe all before and after changing recoverys. To ensure the partitions it uses are clear and formatted appropriately.

Hello all.

I'm currently running -- ROM 8-15-16(OS2SD): Lollipop 5.1.1 (LMY49J) Cyanogenmod 12.1

Everything is working great, except for the accelerometer and the led flashlight.

Any thoughts on how to get these working?

hi. quick question. possibly long answer. gapps is not working. not good tutorial on custom romming. i found out after coming from peach that gapps was required for cm12.1.

so i flashed cm12.1 5.1.1 fine from CW. installed no errors. no gapps were installed. went to boot, encryption error.

downloaded both open gapps and gapps offered in the OP. both bomb out with status 7. im now downloading 5.1 cm 12.1 in hopes that rom will be compatible. slow connection. anyway, gapps is not installing an it's an issue in the install script. i do believe it is trying to say i need android 5.1.x, and is recognizing the system as 4.0.4. i don't want to do odin, because on this machine USB isn't working in raw mode. it will only work with USB connect from running android, so odin isn't seeing the device from windows. so without a running ROM, i can't connect with USB. and without USB, i can't use odin. i'm left with swapping my SD from phone to pc. XDA was difficult to navigate and trying to find what i needed from google. so i ended up finding what i needed in reverse, because rom install instructions as far as i know weren't bundled with the zip. i eventually found the install instructions in the OP, which stated need to format the partitions. formatting was not done on first round of install. i thought i would add that for completeness, but don't know if that made any difference in outcome.

so i reformatted all partitions, wiped, should be good to go. installed ROM. that goes through, and no gapps. it still fails.

so that's the background, the short question is, "is there something to work around getting gapps to install?"

It would be nice if the instructions had the actual version number for CW. "The new one" is a bit lacking. I thought I had the new one. 6.0.1 or whatever it was. Updated to 6.0.5 and it fixed it. Gapps installed perfect. Just fir the record, gapps IS dependent on the right recovery version, it isn't totally agnostic or abstracted.

Hey guys, new cm12.1 up. :)
Hey cars1189, I'm interested in getting cm13 to run on this thing but I can't figure out all the build bugs when I use your cm 13.0 branches on your GitHub. Do you have a build that you made from it that you wouldn't mind sending me to try and pull stuff from? This is a backup phone of mine but I do want to try to get it up one more version... Thanks
You can PM me too if you like

If anyone would like to test Lineage 13th for me, pm me, I have working builds with a few bugs.

Thanks!

Hello, i decided to make a thread for a ton of CM mostly stock builds. Im going to be updateing these builds every so often. Except maybe 10.1 as development as far as the Cyanogenmod team goes has come to a very slow pace.(As its close to its final stages)

Credits for the ability to have these roms goes to Arco, ADC Team. Camcory. And all the other devs for our device and others. And of course the Cyanogenmod Team and the entire community.

All standards apply...if you phone blows up not my fault. If your cat eats your phone because the cyanogenmod boot animation looks tasty not my fault. Flash these like any other rom... my cwm from other thread will work fine.

Also response to this thread will be limited as its just a pile of roms. Not gonna try and go through dev talk about a billion roms all in the same place. feel free to talk about the roms all you want and ill try my best. If i miss anything feel free to PM me and ill try to address whatever the situation may be.

Also these are not ment to be replacements to anyone elses rom but instead just updated builds. And/or builds i use or have used personally. Kernel source 1 Kernel source 2 Kernel source 3

    Kernel Information:
    All K^Kernels have overclocking the one labeled OC has just that no change to cpu voltage or memory. (Other misc tweaks still apply)
    OC = Overclock
    UV = Under Volt
    EXUV = Extra Under Volt
    Memory levels(aka settings>about phone>Memory):
    high 380 MB of free RAM
    very high 390 MB of free RAM
    extra high 406 MB of free RAM
    standard/default/small w.e. 370 MB of free RAM

    New Builds:

    high 406 MB of free RAM
    very high 416 MB of free RAM
    extra high gone
    standard/default/small w.e. 396 MB of free RAM

    Notes for OS2SD:
    Before you start: I cannot stress enough cwm backups/restoring will not work with this OS2SD release! And data MUST be formated NOT Optional!
    1. You MUST Backup All data or it WILL be lost!
    2. You MUST Format /system, /data, /cache, and /sdcard0 in cwm/twrp.
    At this point you can format sdcard0 as ext4.
    3. Install the new CWM/TWRP the old one will not work from now on!
    If you didnt before now would also be a good time to format the internal storage which in the new recovery is now /data to ext4.
    4. Once formated first flash the OS2SD rom
    5. Then flash GAPPS and/or other packages.
    At this point you can restore data. Note the kernel is special so you cant use older ones so you can only restore things like /data backups and adb/titanium backups.
    6. Then reboot and enjoy the extra space!

    Kernels

    Hey guys. I went the extra mile today and when i compiled the kernels i also compiled extra builds with different configs so we can enjoy K^Kernel in its true full glory. And ill try to do this from now on. ( @Christopher83 ) Enjoy!

    Note: Im only linking the standard builds in the CM11.0 section, to keep it clean, but you guys are smart people if you look youll find the other builds on my androidfilehost

    Also I can not stress enough with the undervolt builds there is a higher risk involved please be careful.

    Edit: also with the other kernels i just noticed they haven't added the TRIM commit for us yet but i asked Christopher to add it so im sure itll be in there soon.

    Also one thing ive noticed is that even 480p works for the xhm(extra high memory) build which gives the user space 406MB vs the ~350MB we have with stock.

    Also since i know some people might be wondering:
    Both for cpu
    uv=undervolt
    exuv=extra undervolt

    Memory is as follow:
    hm=high mem 380 MB of free RAM
    vh=ver hgih mem 390 MB of free RAM
    exvh=extra high mem 406 MB of free RAM
    the build that is labled just OC is 370 MB of free RAM

    More info can be found in Christopher83's K^Kernel thread here.
    Also while camera works im not 100% sure about things like youtube and netflix with the higher mem builds.
