Didn't work for me.
It converted fine, but hung on <waiting for device>

I was using v1.2.2, USB debugging and S-OFF in place.
Worked fine done manualy via adb, so the converted image was fine :)

Keep up the work. This can be a very nice tool once the worst bugs have been ironed out :D

Plug phone into fastboot mod before starting the program. It worked that way ;)

(for the new guys - to enter fastboot mod: press power button when you're pressing volume down button. wait a second. white screen will come. wait a second again. press power button and enter fastboot. plug usb. you will see fastboot usb on desire screen. ready to start the program.)

boot into fastboot
type that:

fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img

Yay! this worked great, once I worked out that you need to download fastboot-mac separately! Thanks

Code:
C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img
    sending 'splash1' (750 KB)... OKAY [ 0.125s]
writing 'splash1'... FAILED (remote: not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.125s

That's the error I keep getting. I don't understand because I have s-off. Any ideas?

Thanks for this tool, I got it to work, created an image the size you said, 150 pixels/inch 8bit rgb then saved it as a 24 bit windows bmp named splash1.bmp.

I think you have to save the image file in a separate folder to the program files?

I used Windows 7 64bit.

Took me 3 goes but finally got it to work. Had to make sure Windows 7 had settled down with regard to re-installing the driver, for some reason it disappears and sometimes Windows has to go back through its memory banks and dredge it back up, stupid senile operating system! And then when you plug the phone in, I chose 'Disk drive' instead of 'Charge', and then finally the thing worked properly.

Now rocking with a custom-made Monster Magnet 'Bullgod' boot image, created from the remastered Spine Of God album cover art. :D

In a few days, I'll have nbimg complied inside of the program so that these errors will not happen, till then, idk what happens..

And anyone else with <waiting for device> all you need is the HBOOT and fastboot drivers, else it won't work.

Have you tried to manually run nbimg?

"nbimg -F splash1.bmp"

Then rename splash1.bmp.nb to splash1.img.

Then flash using "fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img.

Fail on my part...I thought Go meant it'd start flashing rather and didn't think it'd let me select the file lol.

People who are getting the "splash1.bmp file in use" error should try closing the program and then copying the splash1.bmp file to the same folder, then opening it again. Also, check if it's read only. I shall try fix this when i get home. Currently at work. Sorry guys.

EDIT: Found the problem. Will have it fixed within 6 hours. A simple fix would be to move the splash1.bmp out of the same directory and into another one and load it from there. Tested, works.

    Android Flasher needs you!

Are you an experienced Android user?
We need people to update the Pro database for each device, this means the radio/bootloader/recovery for each device. PM me for more details.
This also includes HTC Magic, Samsung Galaxy S and S II, Motorola Atrix, and Sony Xperia Play.

S-OFF is essential with ENG hboot

    Features:
Multiple flashes without closing the application.
Deletes all used files leaving you with nothing more than what you had to start with.
Fully automatic, users only need to create a splash image or locate a recovery, hboot, or radio img.
    Unified interface.
    Coded entirely in C#
Now supports BMP, PNG, and JPEG images. Not just BMP like NBIMG.
Usable on your Desire, Desire Z, Desire HD, EVO 4g, EVO 3D, Desire S, Incredible S, Thunderbolt or Sensation.
The application checks image dimensions and the file sizes of splash images to prevent any errors.

    Requirements for use:
    USB debugging enabled.
HTC and Fastboot/Hboot drivers must be installed.
    Windows with .net 4.0
Splash image, recovery img, hboot img or radio img. (not required for donate version)

    What the application does:
This application flashes the specific parts of your device, ie. Bootloader, Recovery, Splash screen, and Radio.
It has taken many hours and much extensive research and testing on multiple devices to make a straightforward, efficient and reliable program to offer you the freedom in device customisation you are otherwise denied.
The app allows you to quickly customise your device in a way that is simple and alot goes on behind the scenes to guarantee you don't get caught with error messages.
The splash screen is the image before the boot animation, (by default the white HTC logo.) With this application you can change it in under a minute.

Credits to SA7039 for assistance and Google for fastboot, adb and dlls.

How is the bmp supposed to be configured?
    4
For those of you trying to flash a splash screen and getting an error saying ...

splash1.bmp: No such file or directory
    error: cannot load 'splash1.img'

you're probably being a bit too eager.

I found that when you select your picture and it appears in a box asking is this image correct "yes / no" if you wait a few seconds (10/15 secs) then click on yes it works pretty much all the time.

Was annoying me when I kept getting the error message, but this seems to work for me.

    (just a suggestion)
