Re: [ROM][SGH-I317 / t0lte][JB][4.2.1] CyanogenMod 10.1 official nightlies

This one is strange ...

For some reason that I simply can't understand, I can't get my Gmail app to give me sound notifications ... only vibration.

When I go into Gmail settings, click on my account, click on Sound & vibrate, the Sound section says Silent. When I click on that option, my notification sound IS selected, but when I click on OK and return to the previous screen, it continues to display the word Silent under the Sound option.

I've done two things so far ...

1) I deleted the Gmail app entirely, and then re-installed. Same problem.
2) I went into TWRP recovery (2.4.1.0), and fixed permissions. Same problem.

Any ideas?

Peter

Any chance that you have Bluetooth turned on.

Problem appears to be solved ...

Did you press volume up & down to the max?
I don't use Gmail.

Well, I think I found the problem. One of my profiles was, apparently, creating the problem. I don't know exactly how, but when I narrowed it down to that specific profile, then deleted it and re-established it, the problem was solved.

Thank you all for your help.

Yeah, I'm back. I thought I would go back to HTC for a while, and still have the ONE X+, but the things that used to nag me so much continue to nag me, not to mention the locked bootloader.

I think from now on I'm sticking with Samsung.

Good to see you again.

Is it possible to reverse the default notification pull-down? I would prefer to have the Quick Settings Panel be the default when I pull down notifications.

Peter

Settings. System. Quick Settings Panel.

You can make it default when u swipe down from a certain side.

Are the Nightlies on 4.2.2 yet, with the Bluetooth audio fix and other misc. bugs squashed.

I'm guessing this is your first post in this thread? 4.2.2 came out yesterday so don't expect that in here for a while, and bugs don't get squashed over night. You need to wait and check the changelog if your NEW, and also read at least the previous 3 pages of this thread.

You can also set the pull down to default to quick panel when you have no notifications (pulling down from wherever).

I haven't seen a setting that exclusively reverses the typical behavior.

You are correct. If you pull down from the top right side, you will always get the Quick Settings Menu. Otherwise, anywhere from the middle to the left will get you Notifications.

Thanks,
Peter

Only if you turn it on. By default any drag down from any area is notifications. You can turn it on so that left or right side is Quick Settings.

Change log for Wednesday nightly says "fixed audio recording for blobs" is that what I think it is? Or am I just being hopeful.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.2 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:

     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM

     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Great friggin' news:

Yep, we did it again! Our opensource audio HAL seems to work almost fine.
Incall earpiece, speaker, mic and bluetooth are working. A2dp works also.
Since Google Now works properly i assume the Camcorder will be fine, too.
    Headset is working as well.

Thanks, I just installed ForceKernel (OC TO 1,920Mhz) and then run some benchmarks and it's much slower than Perseus, I used to get in Perseus around 7,500 in Quadrant and now I get around 4,500 to 5,500, am I doing something wrong ?

NOTE: I am using SetCPU and the Governor is "pegasusq"

world is going to end because your ePenis has narrowed because of less score?
    that's damn hard.
