its fixed, now you can choose to pin(always stay) or no notification(unpin), check Recent changes version 1.6:highfive:

just installed
does your widget currently support multi DPI?

im currently on 160DPI and i can only see a transparent box with some lines on it.
i can provide a screenshot if you need.

added screenshots. (also noticed notification bar doesnt show the doodle)

I'm having widget issues. Keeps crashing my launcher. Its probably my launcher. I'm using Atom Launcher (testing for educational purposes) and will load up my Nova and see if it works that way.

Thanks dev, I'm a big fan of the doodle and often go to Google from Chrome just to see it.

1. opened your app -> press "home" button to leave it in the background
2. opened your app -> left it there for 1 min then close it
3. for the notification area, its still the same as my previous post.

are you on version 1.8? can you try stretch widget as well?
looks like the app fail to get the doodle, are you on a stable network environment?
anyway, i will try to implement a better way to get the doodle

yes i upgraded to the latest one on the play store.
yeap. i was at my home when i tested that.

does the app rely on location?

like google.com.au, .com.hk, .com.my..

yes, in theory i connect to www.google.com, but google always refer to your country base on yr ip

Same for me. Looks just like his. I was at home on WiFi when I tested it

ahh nowonder it doesnt work well.
perhaps you can find a way to code it so it loads based on the location?

and if there isnt anything then, it loads the "google" logo instead.

TrustGo says there's a threat

I'm just posting what TrustGo has told me after installing the app on my Nexus 4:

Threat name: Adware!PushAD.A@Android

This app has the ability to read your IMEI and leak it to third-party websites. Furthermore, it may push unwanted adds to your phone's notification bar and download apps resulting in general annoyance.
==============

So I just uninstalled it as recommended by TrustGo until further clarification

Why is all of the above needed for the app to work?
