Hotfix for resolving new SMS notifications not sounding while in standby mode for HTC

Can someone tell me which changes are made by this hotfix.exe?
Which files and which registry changes shall I extract to implement them to my selfmade ROM?
btw, horfix is working on my Topaz

I downloaded the Advanced Configuration Tool, but when I tried to run it I got an unexpected error, saying that the tool needed a newer version of .NET Compact Framework. So I downloaded that, and when I tried to install it I got a message that there was a NEWER version already installed.

Maybe I'll just try the registry tweak - the hotfix hasn't worked for me!
