I am seriously considering moving to CM 10.1 from my really old triple boot ROM on my NC. I really like using Mirage CM7 - haven't delved much into using the ICS side. I would like to know if I do this upgrade:
- Will this upgrade to CM 10.1 permit me to install the latest Google Chrome web browser? Right now the Play Store says my system doesn't support it. Perhaps a better way to ask this is: Is the failure to install Chrome a hardware issue or a software issue? I'm guessing it's probably a software issue...
- Will this upgrade to CM 10.1 permit a "smoother" U-Tube experience? Right now, less than five per-cent (5%) of U-Tube vids successfully play. The majority of attempts yield "An error was encountered while playing this video. Tap here to retry." And, of course a tap to retry just results in the same notification. Strangely, if I navigate to U-Tube via the Browser, video's play very reliably with no errors encountered at all. But if I try to use the stock U-Tube app (which I've updated via the Play Store), it fails.
Anyway, I'm looking to see if an upgrade to the latest CM ROM is worth it from these standpoints. Any comments?
Thanks.

Concerning Chrome, just checked that for U and its available at Play Store for my 10.2 installation. How will this perform, I have no idea, as I prefer Opera and Dolphin.
About U tube, I am sure that U have something wrong in your installation, as I can imagine that I had flawless U tube experience from my both Cm7.2 and Cm9 installations. Maybe U should check for other apk which is more suitable for our device.
In general, keep in your mind that Cm10.2 is quite heavy for our device. No comparison running JellyBean to one core NC with running it at a 4core Nexus 4. Most important issue is the low amount of free ram, that always stays around 80-100mb, which means U can't run many applications in background.
