[Q] JWR66V vs JWR66Y and Confusion
Here goes and I hope I am saying this right:
Several months ago I rooted my Nexus 7; 4.2.? (I forget) following one of the links in this forum. Worked great but found that I did not really use the root function, and not sure Titanium Backup needs root for my data files.
Then a few weeks later, after that along comes 4.3 and it does its update.. I was happier for my Nexus 4 since I got the new bluetooth there.
I noticed after 4.3 the battery did not last as long, and was thinking to come see but went on a trip. When I got back, I had another update waiting, it said 4.3. Thinking it did not take due to root, I allowed another update. But did not see any difference in battery usage. Yesterday I got another 4.3 update notice and after that update started to search what is going on. I havent found anyone posting that many updates. So I searched on my version 4.3 JWR66V and on Google it identifies it as a version for Verizon.. WTH I got mine direct from Google.
So the questions are:
1. Should I do a factory rom to JWR66Y and drop the root?
2. What are the differences between the two?
3. Did the root process make it think I am a Verizon Nexus 7 LTE and that is why the battery drains faster?
