Installed but..
Hi guys,
I gave this ROM a whirl as I'm looking for an alternative ROM, one without bloatware and simply just more flexibility etc.
My device is an HTC Desire A8183, it's Telstra branded, and I RUU'd from the 2.1 to the 2.2 - still Telstra.
Ok, so I nandroid backuped, performed a full wipe, and dalvic cache before install.
All went ahead ok!
I really like the look and feel of this over what I had before, everything seemed to work almost flawlessly. But I did have to restore back to my previous ROM, because firstly:
When I set a Live wallpaper and had Auto-rotate orientation enabled, on rotate it came up with a crash error, and prompted reporting bug (I did).
This was ok cause after the OXYGEN logo with black background (like at boot) disappeared, it loaded and operated like normal.
Secondly, when I tried sending an App2SD, the whole thing crashed. This time it was stuck in a booting loop.
Pulled battery out and Volume down+powered on and restored.
I really like OXYGEN, its so refreshing (pardon the pun). So much more fluid like than the Telstra 2.2.
I could install it again, and I plan to, I just want to make sure things don't go haywire on my at some random point.
I can give as much more info and happy to do a few trial runs as needed.
What are your thoughts?
Cheers
