root your phone again with superoneclick (latest version)
Download The original busybox from market by stericson,
download astro file manager and root explorer.
Download x recovery and than install the three files,
you will get the files in sd card>android>data…xrecovery...
Then open root explorer-allow superuser's permission-select mount as rw-scroll to sd card>android>data...xrecovery folder,
you will see three files namely busybox,chargemon,xrecovery,
select busybox-select permisson-tick all the box,
do the same with all the files,
then copy the files, go home-mount as rw

goto system>bin>(paste the three files) and your done.

turn off our phone-wait 5 sec-turn on-when u see the SE logo continously press the back button,
and u will get the xrecovery menu.

and it tells me to flash it to 1.6, and the link over there doesn't work. The OP is also leading me to the same place. Since I cannot post there, can someone please help me reupload?

You dont need android 1.6 to root your phone just download from this forum x8toolbox and use for rooting and installing cwm and xrecovery...( use search button to find it)
