Question [Q]Firmware update question

Hi , i recently registered in Xda-developers cuz i found out some updates for my Galaxy S II.
So , my question is how do i know what firmware i have to update , there are a lot of firmwares and i don't know which to flash...
Another question , firmware update means that my android version will change to a newer one?
And finally , reading a lot of post about updating galaxy s II with Kies or Odin , i found that a lot of people had problems flashing the phone and that sincerely scares me.. I'm afraid of bricking my phone.

Anyways , there are my Galaxy S II information :

Version of android : 2.3.3
Bandbase : I9100XWKG1
Kernel : 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKG1
Clalabeltest_I9100XWKG1
Compilation : Gingerbread.XWKG1

Note: It's unbranded. Also i noticed that in the kies update at the enf of the new firmware information it says (ITV)

Check if it says i9100 under battery, not i9100G.
Learn how to use Odin to flash.
Than come back if you want help

And don't bump your thread an hour after you started it :-/ Anyone who bumps a thread within 6 hrs of making it obviously thinks this place is their personal on-call tech support line.

Guess what ? It isn't. Show some manners/patience.
