I removed ClockPackage.apk, probably why the widgets are missing. (I use better alarm app and clock widgets from the market myself) But here's the file, just unzip it and copy it into /system/app/

http://d-h.st/XHp

Let me know if that works for you. I'm not sure if it depends on anything else.

http://d-h.st/1xs - Unzip and put in the /system/app folder. I don't think it depends on other apks, but let me know if that works for you.

Thanks. Alarm widgets are working again.

So how's this rom running performance wise so far since its debloated to some extent? Is there still the occasional lags?
Will root my device soon and run this rom

Just flashed it this morning. Running for 6 hours with no issues. Have noticed no lag or freezes. No install hiccups.

Thank you Unknown for this release.

I haven't noticed any lag on my rom or even on stock. So I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Thankyou, now all we need is quick reply for text and native flashlight app.

I'm going to add the flashlight to the notifications in a future update. For the quick reply I use handcent but I'll look at implementing this as well.

Thanks guys.

I'm actually uploading a new version right now with some more bloat removed and with some build.prop tweaks that should hopefully help battery life and performance a bit.

I want to try and remove some of the libraries to free up some space but every time I do that I start getting force closes on apps.

Update coming soon.

On the stock rom there is a slight stutter occasionally when switching applications or when pressing the home button to go back to the home screen.

But awesome that there will be an update soon! Looking forward to that

Interesting. I'm still on stock (rooted) and I haven't once had a stutter or lag when switching apps.

Something that might help your slight lag for home button is disabling home button shortcut for S-Voice (load S-Voice and press the menu key then click "Settings." Uncheck "Open via the home key")

I dirty flashed it, but then had to setup all my screens again. So I restored a backup, edited the install script to not clear my data and dirty flashed again. Everything was as I left if this time.

I wonder if the data really need to be wiped with the install script? If we want it wiped, we can do it from recovery ourselves.

I dont think it needs to be wiped, but I'm sure it's easier to troubleshoot for bugs and errors if its all cleared.

I've already done that. It's not a lag as in a slight delay, it's a lag as in a video game running at a low fps.
Where I see the slight delay is when I hold the home button for the recent apps.
Also, which recovery do you guys recommend to flash this rom? TWRP or OUDHS?

I am pretty sure I made it wipe everything before it installs, but I could be mistaken. It's always best practice to wipe it all anyways... I use Titanium Backup for backup/restore myself...

As I said before, I never noticed such lag... You might want to do a full wipe and start over... If I was experiencing that, I certainly would.

And I thought TWRP still isn't working properly from what I understood?

Updated to 1.0. Big version jump, I know, but since it's stable and I don't like having "0" based version numbers, I just put it up to a stable 1.0 release. ;)

I was going to release an update.zip for those that already have 0.1 installed, but at this point I figured it's best to start from scratch once more. In the future I plan to do small update zips that will update on top of the current release.

Read main post for updates.

Enjoy!

    Welcome to TriForceROM

    triforcerom_zps39cfa075.jpg

This ROM is designed and developed with the following goals in mind: Stability, Minimal Size, Speed, Flexibility, Performance, Power Saving. IN THAT ORDER, but pretty much a strong balance of everything to provide the best experience your phone can offer.

Thanks list is in Post #2 - If your name is missing from this list, please do not hesitate to point it out, I will gladly add you if you've assisted me.

Usual Disclaimer: You flash this at your own risk... BE SURE TO HAVE A COMPLETE NAND BACKUP. I'm not responsible if your hair suddenly falls out, the neighbors dog comes and eats your newspaper, the zombie apocalypse occurs, or your phone breaks. I'm providing this as-is, no guarantees or promises.

Also... On the topic of "as-is..." Please understand that I'm the one and only person developing this ROM, I also work a regular job and have a fairly busy personal life. So don't expect a Masterpiece, I do what I can, add mods that I can, and fix things when I can. I'm mainly developing this for my own personal use, but figured I might as well share the benefits with everyone else.

    Install Instructions

This ROM includes AROMA installer. This gives you customizable options when you go to install the ROM.

You will be prompted for 3 different Options to start: Default, Customize, and Change Mods

The first option(Default) will install TriForceROM as it was intended to be used, with all the mods enabled. Much like the previous releases of TriForceROM.

The second option(Customize) will allow you to pick and choose from the mods available. This is still a full wipe option.

The third option(Change Mods) will allow you to do the same as the above, but will not wipe System or Data, so you can change mods/theme on the go without worrying about wiping your precious data! Simply re-flash the SAME ROM file and select Change Mods, select your new mods and let it flash!

Default and Customize will wipe both Data and System, be sure you have a backup. You must do a full install before you're able to use the Change Mods out. (It won't let you until you are on TriForceROM.)

Again, it will not wipe data or system when you select to Change Mods.

As usual first boot takes a while because it has to rebuild data and cache.

    Enjoy!

I know it's been a while since I've been "seen" and that's not because I've been on vacation, lol, well it was for a little bit.. but mainly It's because my job has been extra busy lately and my internet connection at home has been having some major issues. I've been monitoring the thread and chiming in when It's necessary via my phone, but it's been a real pain in the arse dealing with this stupid Internet Service Provider. I'm not MIA or anything though, I'm still here. Just dealing with some other issues right now. I'll be back to getting an update out soon though, to address any major issues and get (hopefully) a few more mods or requests filled.

Just letting everyone know not to worry, I'm still here!

Hey Unknown. I've been using your Rom since I rooted and was wondering if you have a PayPal link or something so I can donate to the great work you have done? I didn't see it in the Op.

Thanks for the great debloated rom.

    Sent from my SPH-L720

    Hey, appreciate it.

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not being condescending at all. But, I do have a link on both my avatar and in my signature. But I'll add a link to the OP as well when I release 3.0, which will happen either late tonight or tomorrow.

But on the donation topic... Just so everyone knows my stance here...

I don't want to be considered someone that's flashing the "donate to me" all over the place... So I typically don't include a link or anything it in my threads. Because, to me, donations are supposed to be exactly that, donations. They aren't supposed to be a cost, a charge or "I'm doing great work, so you should donate..." To me, if you donate, you should donate out of your own free will, and not expect anything in return. It's like buying someone a beer at a bar/pub for doing something nice for you, or buying your friend a drink or a coffee because they helped you with something.

I also don't believe in the "donator's list" thing... cause it doesn't do anyone any good... It makes people feel obligated to donate just to make their name on a meaningless list and make those that don't donate feel less important... It doesn't seem to accomplish anything in my opinion.

I'm not here to make money, I have an 8-5 M-F Job that I hate for that, haha...

With all of that said... give me all your moneys RIGHT MEOW! Haha, Juuust kidding!
