I can't get auto correct to work on the 4.3 keyboard. The highlighted word doesn't replace the original when the space key is tapped. Is there a setting that I'm not seeing?

They had to remove auto correct, believe it was one of those Apple patent issues. ?

I think I messed something. Everytime I power my phone it says Android is updating. Any help would be very appreciated

Same here. I really love this keyboard, but can't get it working.

On AT&T TW 4.3 Stock MJ2 bootloader, kernel and modem.

I'm trying to get the Note2 keyboard working on my Galaxy S3 with TW 4.3 (Stock). I loaded the "[LEAK] AT&T 4.3 UCUEMJ2 (Root & Knox versions)" ROM (I loaded the Root and NoKnox version) and then tried to install the keyboard the link in the 5th post of that ROM thread. The keyboard zip is called 4.3_Note2_keyboard.zip. It just force closes and says basically that the Samsung keyboard has crashed.

I have read in a few threads to delete the SamsungIME.odex file, but I don't have one. Inside the keyboard zip file, there are two apks: ResourceManager.apk and SamsungIME.apk. I made copies of those two before I flashed so I could get the original back if necessary, which it was since it just crashes.

I even tried "[Port] Leaked 4.3 Note2 keyboard for S3" this keyboard file and it didn't work.

This one didn't work either: "Note2 Keyboard "Floating Multi-Window" (4.1.1)(4.1.2)(4.3) (updated 11-10-13)"

Thanks for any help in advance.

I tried the 4.3 keyboard in 4.4.2 ND8 port, received this when trying to edit the settings for the Samsung Keyboard via System Settings > My Device > Language and input:

I've edited APKs and smali for 3rd party type apps, but not system type apps. I might pry into this, but I have a feeling I'll be in over my head.

I have ironed these out (albeit not the best way), and have a usable version of 4.3 working on 4.4.2. So far this is what I've got.

Has anyone been able to install the Note 2 keyboard on a I747 with stock rooted 4.3 and stock recovery?

I believe you can rename the flashable zip to "update.zip" and place it in the root of your external SD card. Then in recovery, simply select apply update from SD card. That should, in theory, install it.

thanks for the suggestion. also been having an issue. (probably user.lol)
will try. :)

err on the side of kindness

Would LOVE to see the Note 2 keyboard for the ported Sprint 4.4.2 ROM.

I tried the LG keyboard and just do not like it as much. Plus, when I use the speech to text feature it crashes my phone. The layout is slightly better on the Samsung Note 2 keyboard too though! :D

I know some other people tried to port it but yours always work right! :good:

I started porting the new note 3 keyboard to the Sprint build but I've been so busy with work and family I just haven't found the time or even the desire to work on Rom stuff when I do have some free time. Bare with me and I'll get a port out soon for you all.

If you want to just work on the stock one with some bools modified to add the note 3 keyboard features feel free man. I posted it and the only problems I had with it are the number row doesn't actually have keys but just the numbers. Also in password fields 1-5 don't do anything. Unless this would be more to fix.

Look forward to what you do and I'm starting to get the same way in my free time sadly. I wish I just had more time

    Note2 Keyboard "Floating Multi-Window" (4.1.1)(4.1.2)(4.3) (updated 11-10-13)

Here is the Note 2 Keyboard: Updated 11-10-13

    Deodex ROM's only
    Make a Backup First!!!

    4.1.1 Build
    MD5: 3ad418a08e13c3c97e83f27f3604640f
    http://d-h.st/LFO
    Confirmed working on:
    AT&T UCDLK3 4.1.1
    T999 UVDLJA 4.1.1

    ====================================================================================

    4.1.2 Build "Floating Multi-Window"
    MD5: 053d77a2effc03e0dde514aef9eee328

    Auto Correct
    http://d-h.st/aDo

No Auto Correct Uses Swiftkey Flow.
    http://d-h.st/PeN

    Confirmed working on:
    T999 MD5 4.1.2
    I747 MG2 4.1.2
    I747 MF1 4.1.2

    ====================================================================================

4.3 Build "Floating Multi-Window and One Hand Operation" Uses Swiftkey Flow.
    MD5: 34C5C8B046F1FB820290CF94DE30A5FF
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/z4ybblkj3tl8n8x/4.3_Note2_keyboard.zip

Auto correct is an option in settings now. Can be turned on and off.

Enable long press smiley key. Add this line to your system/csc/feature.xml
    <CscFeature_Sip_Smile_Longpressable_Icon>true</CscFeature_Sip_Smile_Longpressable_Icon>

    Confirmed working on
    I747 UCUEMJ2 4.3

    ====================================================================================

All the files needed are here including lib's, languages... So with some luck it should work on most TW based ROM's
    Fully working.... including handwriting...

Note: If this does not work on your ROM please contact your ROM developer. It works for me and many others. I can not support this on all ROMs as each dev does things different and they probably broke or removed something needed for this to work.
Will also need this line in your csc/feature.xml if it is not already. <CscFeature_Sip_EnableSymbolInSecondary>en_US;en_GB;az;ca;cs;da;de;et;es_ES;eu;el;fr;ga;gl;ka;hr;it;is;kk;lv;lt;hu;nb;nl;pl;pt;ru;ro;fi;sr;sk;sl;sv;tr;uk;ko;hy;bg;ar;fa;ur;iw;ja;th;vi;zh;uz;in;mk;ms</CscFeature_Sip_EnableSymbolInSecondary> This will enable all languages that might be available in the ROM to the keyboard.

    Note2 4.3 Keyboard
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/z4ybblkj3tl8n8x/4.3_Note2_keyboard.zip

    Fully functional.

    Flash in recovery
Check the keyboard settings and make sure a language is set

Floating keyboard works but you have to enable it. When the keyboard is up, long press the mic icon and find the keyboard icon. there you can switch modes from normal, floating and one handed.

This keyboard has auto correct but is now an option that can be turned off in the settings.

I'd say make a backup but your 4.3 backup won't work anyway so flash at your own risk.
    It's working for me.
    Enjoy
