allovol83 mostly I think you're right. There's one big question that I at least don't know the answer to though. Does the /data partition get reformatted during the update? It's possible to have a lag fix that reformats /data from rfs to ext4. (I think maybe voodoo does this.. or maybe it uses another space and doesn't touch the original partition.. but with fatboy's we just don't know.)
If the update does not reformat the /data partition and the lagfix did, froyo may not be able to access it anymore.
Just a theory, but until I know what the update does and what the lag fix does, it's certainly not one that I can rule out. Maybe you can.

It's the "essentially" I'm worried about. Isn't reformatting optional with Odin flashes? I would kind of hope the update would reformat and wouldn't be even a little surprised if it did.
edit: Oh BTW the reason the mount output is useful.. if we find that /data is still
ext2 rfs... then yeah.. I'd be inclined to say that Allovel's interpretation is a very safe bet. If it's ext4 then it's a little risky. If it's ext2, .. well, it SHOULD be ok.... probably.
edit: again.. really he should go to voodoo forum to ask. I'm sure Supercurio has thought about these things at least in his ext4 implementation.
