Hi guys...
I remember that some time back, this thread talked about porting CWM touch recovery to the Defy.
Link: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1730343
I didn't get all of what it said, but now that we have a custom kernel, some of the problems they talk about could be resolved.

TWRP stopped releases after 2.1.1 and CM10 still uses the same embedded CWM 5.x recovery that CM7 had...
>
Could someone please work on porting a CWM 6 based recovery to the Defy?

It's rather surprising that we have Touch Bootmenu but no touch CWM recovery.

This post has an alpha of CWM 6: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=28367524&postcount=11

Can someone PLEASE restart work on this so we can have a better, faster recovery in our CM10 builds?

Quarx has ported CWM 6 to the Novo7... maybe he could do the same for the Defy? *nudge, nudge, wink, wink*

*fingers crossed*

TWRP has released newer builds, but no for Defy as far as I know.

The last Defy TWRP build was 2.1.1

Anyways, TWRP and CWM backups are incompatible with each other, and Quarx uses CWM default, so that's what is more preferable.
I do find TWRP to be a lot better interface-wise though.
