Just wanted to say thanks for your awesome work ..have been using your builts since they first came out
.and I can without a doubt say ..they are the best cm7 builts for the defy :)

There are few apps that are fails on start on 7.2RC recent Builds, for exampe "Springpad" ('..has stopped unexpectedly'). As i googled, i've found similar problem. Thery're reporting that since mid april builds causes springpad not to start.


Also, watching http://cm-7-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=bravo, the only changes that could broke all of this are:

GCC 4.7 now correctly implements the two-phase name lookup rules (android_frameworks_base)
Make PhoneToggler accept the same values as are configurable in the settings. (android_packages_apps_Phone)
telephony: added support for samsungs realcall parameter needed for incall audio (android_frameworks_base)
audiosystem: support for samsungs isSeperatedStream() (android_frameworks_base)


Last one was approved on Apr 8, 2012 4:10 AM, and Apr 8 Nightly was compiled on Apr 8, 2012 7:39 PM, so I think it has nothing to do with the problem, but I don't discard it.
I think the guilty chage is the first one, as it should be used with JIT (so, more or less, Dalvik related).

Hey, the official Cyanogenmod nightly releases are now UP, with one compiled yesterday. I've just installed it to test if the problems with SoundManager, Springpad and Opera Mini are still there... and ¡¡NO!! ¡¡The problems have gone!! I suppose, then, that the problems where some related to the Euroskank compilation. So I'll start using again the original Nightly Releases, as they have no problems until now.

Here you have it: http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=bravo&type=nightly. Install it as usually with Euroskank releases

So, I'm just coming on to this thread for the first time... What exactly are these versions of CM7.2 ? Is this stuff stabler / more features than the CM7.2 RC on the site? Do you recommend upgrading from CM7.2RC to these nightlyies?

It's just different... It's up to you to test all versions and see which one suits you the most :) For me, this one feels like the fastest one (I have tried Quarx's, Epyslon's and these).


FuZZ, any differences between your Skankwiches and CM9's by Quarx and Epsylon? Probably the same thing like with CM7 :)


I'm using 3rd May DEFY+ build and loving it! The smoothness is the same as on the DEFY build :)

I have never even post CM9 pics...yet lol

but I admit latest Defy+ build is snappiest build I've ever build...
insanely fast and stable! :D

Springpad app test:

cyanogen nightly:
update-cm-7-20120420-NIGHTLY-jordan-signed.zip -> springpad starts

euroskank's nightly
0424 && 0503 -> springpad dies on start (stopped unexpectedly)

maniaks nightly: (github tells 2 days old): springpad starts

    Alright,so I've started 2013 to port Defy for CyanMobile.

    As you already might noticed, I had ported Nexus One and Nexus S so far.
    The reason I haven't touched Defy for it is simply it seemed hard to port because of it's unique bootmenu...

    are you throlling? dude cm9 is un-stable, and cm7 kick ass ATM, is the last stable rom for the Defy and that cherry picks are better that cm7 nightlys and better than any other build there, if you wish and want ICS builds thene lern how to and apreciate the good Devs Work! :)
