Hi.
i really try to understand something : usually , we should use last baseband for our region. The manufacturer is launching new versions of baseband to improve signal, standy , battery.
So, using an old baseband is not an good ideea.
For example , in my opinion, the best baseband for EUROPE is 4.5.1-85 because it seems to be the last one.
Others la 2.51.x , 3.4x etc are old so do not need t be used or even appear here...
It is my opinion....

what baseband do you recommend for Israel? Here we have:

Pelephone (3g only) 850/2100
Cellcom (2g+3g) 900/1800/2100
Orange (2g+3g) 900/1800/2100

Also, the "International RT 2.5" does not appear in the menu for version 0.7

Baseband install won't stay

I'm having an issue where I can't get my chosen baseband to stay using the App. I've tried a number of things (flashed the zip, extracted the apk and installed it manually while checking file permissions, installed the apk from SD, verified that it's in system/app with correct permissions (doesn't show in the launcher when installed via zip or manually copying), etc.). I'm running the latest 4.1.2 from Quarx, I have downloaded it twice now, but can't get the baseband to stay. It will constantly go back to the EU baseband that seems to come with the ROM (and doesn't connect to my North American carrier). Any suggestions?

Edit: NM! Settings ---> Advanced ---> Baseband got me what I needed! YAY!

USA AT&T

If you're still updating this, I'd like to have the ability to use the 1900 mHz band on AT&T. I'm in the US, running 4.5.1-134 DFP-231 CN. Currently using T-mobile 3.4.2-107-9, which works fine other than the ability to access 1900 mHz towers / microcell networks. Thanks!

    Hi folks,

I've translated the itfunz basebandswitcher. I wassn't happy with the chinese signs in my program store. So I added english and german. :D The problem was, that the programmer hardcoded some strings, so I've translated those to english only. It's an update.zip which can be flashed via clockworkmod.

Same issue here...this can make my battery drain to fast?...(I mean use other baseband)

Edit: just install the 3.1 version and work

I compared those 2 "new" Argentinian with the old one. They are completly different, as the "old" one is from a milestone 2. So it should be intigrated as a 3rd one :D

Will try today if I can do this, but I can't promise, as I don't own the sources of this tool :(

Edit: It is possible. Next version will include the other Argentinia Baseband and this indian.

I can post them, but they are exactly the as the ones Baseband Switcher install if you select the "Cental Europe" baseband, I don't see the point, I compared the md5sums.
