What is MKD now? I thought MK9 is the final 4.3 FW.

Other question.
When I read the whole posts here and in other forums I'm a little bit scared about flashing MK9.
Is it save now to flash MK9 and to be able to root it?
Otherwise I will stay on MK4 with MJ5 BL or change back to 4.1.2 (that's the savest variant).

Are there users who are already on MK9 without troubles?
Which differences between MK4 and MK9?

u can root it without problem but u will trigger the warranty bit ( so knox wont be usable , but who cares :D ) or just stick with MK4 bootloader where warranty bit wasn't working or use custom rom :)

MK9 defiantly better : better battery , faster ( i had some lag switching between opened apps on MK4 while on MK9 its fast as hell :D )

OK, on MK4 I also have some little lags, Screen mirroring is crashing all the time and WIFI is not stable when I leave the area and come back again.
The rest is OK i think.
But I'm on a custom MK4 ROM probably there is something wrong, but I can't tell you if it's right.

So can I use the german version of MK9 because it's XX for the european market and not DD.
Then flash it with odin, and follow the instruction to root it.
It's odexed, therefore it might not be possible to theme it well.

I hope it's not to risky, because downgrade then will not be possible anymore.

I updated to MKD only because I was hit by Wifi instability of MK9. At least that bug looks gone (it's been a couple of hours only). But battery life not improved (in 4 hours it lost 22%).

i didn't have any wifi instability on MK9 nor battery drain , i tested MDK i found nothing new ( maybe there is some under hood improvement )

MK9 installed all seems good so far. Play working without checking settings etc. Wi Fi no issues so far. Dictionary on predicted text corrections needs watching - may need turning off or needs to relearn? Knox option to/not install.
Battery -I think the phone needs to sort its self out (hope) then will behave.

I have the following issue occuring randomly: phone is still on but screen is locked and black. I try to unlock by pressing home or power button but nothing happens! ( even the led was blinking because of new msg). I can only longpress powerbutton to restart phone and make it responsible again (or pull out battery)
I am on 4.3 mk9 with mj5 bootloader.
Anyone experienced this already?

Has anyone tried the above release. Its it unbranded etc. May try later if i get time as it's a newer build with larger changelog

Can I just flash the 'system' part of the firmware with Mobile Odin as I want to keep the csc, modem etc of the UK release?

No issues as yet. Battery is heavy draw for my normal use at 40% after 10 hours. This seems to be the norm for the 4.3 update for a few days. Shall wait and see. Like what I'm seeing and what it's doing so far.

I think no one here to test bootloader
Anyway I have updated MultiTool Advanced to V5 and should work on this ROM to root,
Also rooting with that should remove Knox from system. Look my signature for MultiTool and Advanced versionV5 is available on post#3
