[Q] My attempt to root Samsung Mesmerize

This is my tale of woe

I tried to load a rooted rom on my phone using this ROM

I997UCLB3-root-deodex.tar

When the phone rebooted it was stuck at the Samsung Screen I then read the thread Files to get your Mesmerize back to stock 2.1 and 2.2.1

I installed atlas_v2.2.1.pit and SCH-I500_USCC_EC10_REL.tar.md5

Phone reboots and goes to the home screen I think I'm in the clear everything works but it looks like phone is stuck in airplane mode
