sdcard is one of the first things that fail on a phone. noobnl's sdcard died yesterday. I personally have never experienced sdcard corruption. If you do, I would suspect failure.
No mightabsolutely needs to flash latest gapps as well.

Yes. Also, naming a folder you want to be skipped with a "." At the beginning does the same trick.
Ie, if you want /sdcard/temp/ to be skipped, just name it /sdcard/.temp/ and that folder and everything in it will be skipped.

Just downloaded it. It should be a separate download for face unlock.
It's not on the site anymore. Do you remember what version of gapps it was in? I have all of them and I can't remember which one they took it out of.

Even easier - enter the directory that you wish to exclude (e.g. cd /sdcard/ExcludeMe) - you can use adb shell from a computer, terminal emulator from your phone, any method that provides access to your phone's command line interface will do
Once in the desired directory, type 'touch .nomedia' to create a blank file named .nomedia (if the file already exists, the touch command simply updates the 'last accessed' time stamp)
You can also just type the full path to the desired location, eliminating the need to change directory (cd - see where the letters came from?):
'touch /sdcard/somepathtoadirectory/.nomedia'
I recommend actually going to the desired directory, because typing the full path increases the odds of a mistake.
There is nothing special about the .nomedia file. In fact, the only thing that matters is the name

The Epic CM team is proud to announce the release of CyanogenMod 9 alpha 5 for Sprint's Samsung Epic 4G.
This is VERY NEW so please read these pages carefully before you proceed with testing.
