You probably have to calibrate your proximity sensor (the phone thinks that you are holding the phone beside your ear so the screen is being turned off automatically), I had similar situation and calibrating proximity sensor resolved the issue. On my phone it is under Settings -> Display -> Als_ps calibration.

Just a quick message to share how I managed to root my phone.

My model is : e1901_v77_jdt1_9p017_fwvga 20121220
Google play recognizes it as : Alps E1901_v77_jdt1_9p017_fwvga
The usual Note-II replica with 5.3'', with Android 4.1.1, 2 x 1GHz, 512Mb RAM + 512Mb ROM (the action and the box however says 1.2Ghz and 1GB ROM... bloody chinese sellers...)

I followed the procedure in the post #43 to backup my ROM. I then flashed the boot and recovery from post #62 (cwm_recovery.img and cwm_boot.img) with the SP Flash Tool.
It was the first time I flashed a ROM and it took me a while to realize that I would need to map my scatter file with the two images and then click download to flash the phone... I eventually made it

The problem was that, once in the CWM, the volume buttons didn't work.... But the menu button worked as volume -. So I managed to install the cwm-supersu from the SD Card. As the volume keys still didn't work in Android, I flashed back my backed up boot and recovery images and eventually the phone was rooted and the volume keys worked

Looking forward to a cyanogenmod for this phone

Now everytime it boots the Android logo keeps moving and it stays there....

I though you had the ROM as me... It looks like you have a more recent version of the e1901_v77_jbl1.
Make sure you flash the FWVGA version and you have a backup of your ROM. Don't flash the preloader, otherwise you can brick your phone.

rom s9300+

Anyone know of any custom rom or stock rom for s9300 +, since that well not well managed factory battery and nothing lasts.
Also if anyone knows of having to install zip from recovery to increase the internal memory where the app is installed.
