Lots of good ones mentioned. I will have to test some.

My listing of MUST haves:

Dropbox - auto loads my taken photos to dropbox so I can never lose them.
tapatalk - yes I use it for XDA too.
DialerEx - best dialer app. saves your speed dials that were missing on ICS.
Apollo - Great Music app.
Flipboard - Great news Consolidator app.
Pulse - Also a great news consolidator. only use on my Tablet though.
Handscent - way better than stock SMS
AT&T Visual Voicemail - YUP. good app
Auto Killer Memory - Not a task killer but a memory prioritizer. canhelp limit the oom levels and help the system close the apps down vs just a task killer app.

Regarding the drop box auto upload of photos, Picasa is an option in the stock gallery when you click share.

I just the auto upload as a super easy way to have the photos available on my PC without ever having to hook up the phone. They r just automatically there in a folder on my PC.

What apps do you think are must have apps? (besides the obvious root apps ie cwm, su, busybox, titanium backup, set cpu)

games or just useful apps... whatcha got?

New android user here, so far this is what I'm finding essential:

    1. QuickPic (better Gallery viewer than stock)
    2. TuneIn Radio (best online radio streaming I found so far, with local channel support etc)
    3. Twicca (best twitter app I have used on Android. I'm patiently waiting for TweetBot to come over to Android)
    4. MX Player (best video player I've used so far)
    5. Barcode Scanner (reads pretty much every bar code and great QR code reader)
    6. FoxFi (free tethering)
    7. Cerberus (security app)

    aside from some mentioned,
    - swiftp (setting up an ftp on your phone)
    - 8tracks (music streaming)
    - aviary (photo editing)
