Be a bit more patient, your problem is noted. Will see if I can bundle the find command with the tool, to make it less relying on the OS .

Not possible.Anyone can make a mod to PA partition to work with unlocked bootloader or with locked bootloader and different kernel? So we can have BE2 and custom kernel. Is it impossible?
Most likely that's the case, yes.
You are using an ancient version. Download the latest version and try again. When you run the latest version choose to convert your v4 backup. Make sure the MD5 you create is lowercase.Hey guys,
Im having trouble restoring my TA partition
cannot stat 'C:\Backup-TA\tools\busybox'
: No such file or directory
Unable to chmod data/local/tmp/busybox:
No such file or directory
This is the md5 for phones TA
/system/bin/sh: data/local/tmp/busybox:

Well, I have an unlocked bootloader on stock ROM with root, superuser and dual recovery.(with usb debugging enabled and adb insecure running) I have the TA patition in C:\backup-TA\....... but it still gives me the same error. Any help?
I don't know. Currently I'm investigating the Xperia U with someone. Will let you know when I know more .I had tried this on both Xperia Z and Xperia U. With Z, the backup file (saw it with winrar) was about 2MB (like you said at FAQ), but with U, it was about 1MB.
Did you think it worked fine on Xperia U?

You can use the md5.exe in the tools folder of the latest version. Example: md5.exe ta.imgOh, right thanks! but I do have a problem though, how do I make a ta.md5 file? I don't know the md5 hash. This is with regards to converting it from v4.

You have to run md5.exe from a command prompt like this: md5.exe -l -n c:\Backup-TA\TA.imgwhen I open md5.exe, there's just a blank command prompt. Typing in commands do not work. Should I copy it over to the backup folder I made?
Thanks and I would like to apologize for asking so many questions and bothering you.

Backup-TA-9.11\tools
Backup-TA for Sony Xperia Z / ZL
Backup-TA can backup and restore the TA partition of the device. When you create a backup before unlocking for the first time, then you will be able to restore to full factory state. This means all DRM keys intact, Bravia Engine working in Album and last but not least your warranty when needed :highfive:.

This tool only works under Windows. Mac and Linux will not be supported.
