ROMs for iPAQ devices are available on Spiaatie's ROMs

Description:

- Carefully read all first 3 posts!
- ROM Update Works with Windows - 2000 / XP / Vista / 7
- How to update ROM? Just read README file inside update folder!
- After update make a hard reset!
- Please don't mirror my files anywere else!
- hx2110(5) and hx2410(5) users MUST update ROM in following sequence:
* 1.00.00L -> 1.00.00H -> 1.02.00H -> WM 6.x

THIS ROM WORKS ONLY WITH:

hx2100 series: hx2110 - hx2115 - hx2190 - hx2190b - hx2195 - hx2195b
hx2400 series: hx2410 - hx2415 - hx2490 - hx2490b - hx2495 - hx2495b
hx2700 series: hx2750 - hx2755 - hx2790 - hx2790b - hx2795 - hx2790b

NEVER TRY TO UPDATE hx2490c OR hx2790c - You will brick it!

Always use iPAQ in Pre-BL mode to do the update!
Contacts + iTask + Reset (with stylus)
Release when Pre-BL appers on screen or if You see just white screen
Push Calendar button to get connection with PC

Always HARD-RESET iPAQ after update!
Calendar + Messaging + Power + Reset (with stylus)
Release when Formatting PS.. appers on screen

How to know model number?
It's under battery.

My old ROMs and shipped ROMs

- You will need these files if you still have WM2003 or WM5 on hx2110(5) / hx2410(5) before You can install WM6.5 Update

This version does have a battery driver

I coudn't get them with kitchen - so the kitchen is in trash for a time now

EDIT: SMALL TIP FOR EVERYONE
when installing it, make sure you point your hpRUU.ini file to the right file, so that you use the correct rom!

"ERROR 506" hpRUU.ini not found

Greetings and congratulations Spiaatie!

I am very excited about your 6.5 rom. However, as I try to flash I get a "ERROR 506" hpRUU.ini not found. Please advise.

Read my previous post, you need to rename the spiaatie_WM_6_5.nbf file to ipaqrom.nbf then get your previous hpRUU.ini from the 6.1 installation along with the .dll driver files

Ok, So I looked at the notification que in the Memmaid program, and it said the windows mobile beta is expiring in [30] then [15] and now [7]
Is there a windows mobile 6.5 beta crack so it won't expire?? I love this OS Please help

Stupid question - My Hx2495 is still on WinM5, but I don't need to run the extra HX2110 / HX2410 at all, and just the 6.5 update, correct?

huh.. how did You get something like that

OS does not expire, there is something wrong with that Memmaid software..

Yes, just run WM6.5 update and that's all

Everything OK here, it is preferable to do a hard reset after the update.

Then you also have the nice new background etc.

I do have some problems with Outlook though.

For some reason i cannot setup a new account. Bug maybe?

When i choose <Menu> <Tools> <New account> nothing happens.

In <Options> when I tap on New Account... also nothing.

Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, i try to setup a new Email account.

Should be an easy task normally.

However I cannot make a new account.

Did You try to make a new one from today screen?

Click on Email and there's a ''Set Up E-mail''

Works for me - succesfully made a gmail account.

Exactly, on the Today screen I clicked on E-mail (Set Up E-mail).

Next thing I see is the messaging screen where I clicked on <Menu> <Tools> <New Account...>. The screen that is coming back is the same as the opening screen.

When I click in the Today screen on Messaging (bottom right) then I get a different screen with <Setup E-mail>. But when I tap I also go back to the wrong screen ("To create a new message, tap Menu, then tap New.").

Normally I should get a screen where I can setup my IMAP Gmail settings. It does m not however. Maybe I should flash again. I came from 6.1 (the newer build).

Maybe do a Hard reset once more!

Ah, that screen is what I also expected to see!! Thanks for the picture.

But it clearly does NOT show-up in my case.
Soft reset did not help either

Strange, everything else is working flawlessly.

Will try flasing it again, could be a break in my flashing somehow.
