There would be a UL or CSA symbol on it. Take a look at most any other electrical or electronic gear, even a lamp. Likely you'll see a piece of paper around the cord, on it will be a UL. Or a laptop power brick, for example.

Not sure either would be on a battery, for sure, but I wondered - given stories of batteries overheating or fires. Not saying it was these ones or any other ones. There is a Big CE on the Sticker. I will try to post some pictures for you.

I believe that is a different type of beastie. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CE_marking seems to indicate it's a rather loose and self-applied marking. Almost alluding to irrelevance. (For what it was intended to be.)

I think I'm groping at safety standards, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safety_standards, perhaps even simply standards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standards_organization and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadia...ds_Association seem to correlate CSA as an authorized Canadian standards mark authority. UL, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UL_%28s...rganization%29 seems to put the two together, for the U.S.

Perhaps such standards mark items that plug directly into the mains, only - so no battery has them, and there's no point looking for them.

I have been reading about this battery, but still I am not sure because its verybig i think (maybe someone can post a picture to see the phone with te battery cover, i cant see it very good in the pictures that post jayjayjoker2) or maybe how about this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Capt...item2c69d2f117 is more expensive but fits the stock cover

Bought this battery a few days ago and just recieved it, it fits perfectly and works like a charm!
Although you have to flip the battery around to get the connections matched, so you can not see that fancy polarcell logo.
