I tried this on my VZ Galaxy Tab and it still didn't work. It didn't complain about the device, but shutdown after I hit "Sign In."

Same issue with the moment, I'd imagine it's having the same type of issue on all the devices where the build.prop hack doesn't work. On the Moment it first looks for the following DRM info and can't find it;

Then once the login happens it dumps the following errors;

What ever DRM lib files it's looking for are present in all the GB ROM builds and not in non-supported Froyo phones. I'm not sure if there is a way to trick/paste/etc the necessary files in.

I get to the login then crashes to the main screen. Ill add this apk to the OP

Your apk works on my un-rooted Optimus V with 2.2 thanks!. With the stock Netflix app I was getting the unsupported device message when hitting play.

Everything runs smoothly but I am getting the double image someone earlier was getting.

Does not work on Vibrant

modified .apk does not work on my vibrant, running bionix 1.3.1

tried changing the build.prop did not work either, tried with both the original and the modified .apk, even tried pulling a build.prop out of a nexus s build and replacing it with mine wow that was a fun few minutes.

From what I am seeing, it is not working on SGS devices

Works Great! Has green bar on the top but thats ok. Picture and sound are good even over Virgins crappy 3g. XDA comes through again! Great work guys

Ok everything works fine except when I stream something only the sound comes through, the screen just stays white but I get the the pause button and the bar at the bottom.

I'm using the revolution HD rom which is a very clean gb Rom.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Ok heres a new APK file.
Netflix Mod 2 APK

Changes
No more crashing on login in for those who the build.prop modifications didn't work.
This will allow you to get in and view your Que and do everything but stream movies, for those who were experiencing crashes at login. For those of you who were able to stream movies with the build.prop edit or my older apk file, this new apk should still stream movies for you and really there is probably no reason to use the newer apk.

Wow, why isn't this working on my 2.2 DX? It looks like it starts to buffer, then it looks like it goes back to the netflix app's main page again.

So close!

Any ideas?

Just to chime in with more results.

I haven't gotten the app to stream at all. In all instances it will open, log in, and view ques fine. I'm running the inspired 4g.

On miui 1.4.29 streaming will start and after three seconds will kick back out to the que.

On miui 1.5.19? (Last weeks inspire build) the Same will happen as above.

On rcmix's kingdom port the app will stream sound but with a black screen.

On android rev 5.1.4 the app will stream sound but with a grey screen.

Each build was flashed with a full a full wipe on all partitions and has had the newest version of flash installed. I have tried both versions of the API with wiping cache and dalvik between each install with a couple rebooted. I have not done the build.prop edits but don't think they apply as I don't get error messages, just simply doesn't stream video.

The modified apk works on my atrix 4g, even over 3g/4g although the quality is low.

The file does not work perfectly on my Wifi Xoom however. I can log in and add to queue and search the database, but it keeps telling me it loses connection with the server when i try to stream.

Anyone else have it working on their Wifi or Verizon Xoom?

Edit:

Atrix 4g: rooted w/ greyblur 2.1

Xoom Wifi: stock 3.0 no root.
