11688 on first attempt for me and I'm on 1.28.9 so I'm not sure what it was like beforehand. Ranked 1245 worldwide though. Pretty impressive.

It gets slower each time I run it!
HT24 and the first time was 10668, then 10330 and now 9944!

I think it's the drivers and the low-level code that's controlling the stepping of the multiple cores. I get decent scores but notice my 2D graphics results are pretty random. Hopefully the update that fixes the graphics issues cleans a lot of the inconsistencies up.

AnTuTu reports the One X as having a Snapdragon CPU. Might also have quite an effect. I think maybe these results are meaningless until we get an ICS kernel and proper drivers.

Maybe you have the rarest of the rare. A 32GB HSPA One X with an S4 processor. ;) Actually, if that were a choice, it's what I'd pick. Teg3 behavior in every device released so far is just a bit too mysterious for me.

Mine doesn't?

Over 12k with 1.28 (unrooted) :)

Edit: Tested again (2 weeks later) and I pretty much got the same score (12035).

You can easily push your score by cooling the device ... (e.g. put it in the fridge works)

Running LeeDroid 5.1 my Antutu scores are in the range 10400-11700, with the average score being around 10,600.

Its hard to bench on Android as all sorts of apps/services keep restarting even if you kill them off.

Ten days ago on the left, just now on the right. Nothing changed in between. I wouldn't read too much in to it. I've noticed the 2D graphics scores fluctuating on some of the tests people have posted. I'm guessing it has to do with the graphics drivers which we know are hosed because of all the graphics issues. Once they are updated we should see more consistent AnTuTu scores.

But has Nvidia or HTC announced or promised updates to improve the performance of the One x?

I can only share what I know from watching Asus and Nvidia try to opimize the Prime. Battery life and peformance, especially the behavior of the multiple cores, are linked. So to improve battery life they played around with the stepping of the cores and in one update even locked them below the 1.3Ghz max clock speed. By the third update the *****ing stopped so I'd guess they found the right balance. But a 25Wh battery in a tablet gives you a lot more to play with than a 1800Mah battery in a phone. So time will tell.

The graphics drivers are a side issue and were also experienced by the Prime. They were easier to resolve.
