All companies use bloat, be it for mobile or pc use 3rd party software to subsidize the cost of hardware. Verizon for instance. Those app/bloat companies are hoping you find it useful and decide to buy it. But they are not going to pay to have it pre-installed just to have the consumer delete it without even trying it out. Plus some of the bloat actually runs full time in the background feeding the company useful information about you and your habits that they sell, thus recouping their costs. As with all spyware they want you to like and use it but there is always a cost, your privacy and personal information.
Rooting and Freezing is the best option for apps you don't want and cannot be disabled through settings/apps. I personally avoid deleting any bloat app if I plan on staying with stock os and freeze them instead, that way I can always defrost if I need to in order to take an OTA.
